Windmill GG 2, Cricketers 3 (previously postponed) Paul Jobbins 4400, Bill Hammond 2200 (good performance from the short notice super-sub for Mick stricken with flu) Michael Wilson 11,500, Brian Goodchild 1270 (the green headband with matching giraffe top given an outing tonight) Johnny Haigh 1130, Mick Clack 4870 (I think Johnny forgot this match was on, arrived three sheets to the wind and lost for the first time) Graham Daniels 3440, Ricky Dewdney 5260 (A rather sub-Dewd Rick taking his time to sort out the terrors of the table) Clive T 2710, Dick Dewdney 4330 (A formidable start from Dick had me under pressure and at one stage I took out the black. Bad week for me.)
So, the GG's head the League by 2pts at Xmas, but an excellent win for the Cricketers who stay unbeaten. A good competitive evening with a friendly bunch. Best Christmas wishes to all, whilst at this time our thoughts still remain very much with Mick and Ding. xxxxx

Result of the second previously-postponed game which was played tonight : Plough 2, Cricketers 3. Good wins for Keith Newman and Mark Webber put the home side 2-0 up. Then Cricketers staged their 'trademark' comeback, firstly through Dewdneys Senior and Junior. Billy Hammond completed the job in his second attempt (visitors playing the 4-Plyr rule). Best wishes go to Boycie for a quick recovery. A competitive match played in a convivial atmosphere.
