Windmill GG 5, Railway 0 Clive 2570, Lee 1450 Johnny 3850, Grant 2020 Paul 2200, Dave 2160 Mick H 7020, Colin 1280 Graham 5200, Scott 1470 The result belies how close some of the games were.
- The last one almost saw an epic comeback, Scott unluckily missing a ball up the middle to lose a break of 3340: had he kept going, a white in the 100 followed by red in the 200 would have won him the game.
- Dave and Paul had a last ball hundred game, several attempts each before Paul finally potted it......
- ...... and had Lee kept all his scores he would have beaten me - he played every shot on the table, while all my points came off the RH 50.
Other comments: Johnny - sober on this occasion - returning to his earlier good form; Mick playing a rare home game for us, and maintaining the standards expected of anyone called Michael (his words). A pleasant evening with a good bunch of lads.

Rssc A 3 Three Compasses 2
Pete 6310 Steve 440 John 2750 Nobby 7850 Steve 6140 Mick 2190 Twig 3960 Porge 6240 Moose 9900 Colin 930
First up Steve and Pete, and Steve off second shot. Pete added a few but couldn't quite get going fluently the game Got bogged down. Steve struggling and not having much luck Pete played Well to get the balls back. Finally getting to grips with the top a terrific 5k break play out took the opening frame.
Game 2 Myself and Nobby. Nobby on with a very steady opener of nearly 3k. I was next to get the balls back and was Going along nicely, almost catching Nobbys opener I played a poor split and was off. A bit of tip tap at the top and I Was down to one easy ball to clear. Oh dear an awful left hand roll and I missed the ball. Nobby seeing what happened Whacked it one in the 20 and the other back to the 50 and break back. A 4k break to the Bar potting on the left hand 50 almost sent me and Moose scoring to Sleep 🤣🤣 . Nobby said "Old School" Good enough 1-1
Next up Steve and Mick, and Mick off early. Steve balls back and a steady 3k break. Mick not having much luck added A few before one more good Break from Sniffer sealed the leg.
Fourth up Twig and Porge. Porge off with 1500 made a steady start and with captain Twig struggling gave him an early Lead. Twig eventually got going and added a good 3k. and left a tricky ball. Porge took a chance and a great cush shot Clearned them. A fantastic break to the Bar and ran out a good winner. 2-2
Deciding leg and Moose and Sparrow. Moose playing his usual confident way was never in danger with Colin unable to get going Posted the best score of the night, just short of 10k.
A lovely night with the Compasses team and great to see Mick out having a game,a beer and a laugh ,with all he's been Through recently.
