Plough v Hassocks A
The top 2 in the cup met in the final week , with the Plough needing
to win , and the Hassocks only needing to draw, to secure the title.

Del broke for the visitors and put a thousand on the board. From
that point onwards it was all Richard, who on a top which was very
tricky, won 3740-1850

Jan went off well , and Andy never got to grips with the table. Jan
won 3570-2140 , and the Plough led 2-0

Doubles, and Del posted a respectable opening score. The game was
messy after this, with neither team able to get going. Del and Baz beat
Chase and Dave K 3430-870. 2-1

Jan was off early, and she and Ric could only watch, as Dave J and Terry
took turns to level the score on the night. 2220-4060 2-2

With the Hassocks only needing one more leg to get the win , and lift
the cup, Terry took the break against Dave K , in what was the highest
quality game of the night. Terry carefully put over 3k on the board.
Dave replied excellently and gained parity, before Tel got back on and
saw the visitors home. 3850-5590. 2-3

A close game between Ric and Dave J , went to the visitors.

A 4-2 victory, which had seemed very unlikely at 2-0 down,
saw Hassocks A lift the Cup!!!
An always enjoyable evening was had at the Plough, in a
match which went right down to the wire.
