Hassocks A 2-3 Plough

Only an unlikely 5-0 win for the home team , would have
stopped the Plough winning the Midsussex League.
Terry put the home team 1 up, and Barry made it 2-0 , but
neither was convincing.
Richard was off early against Andy , but eventually sealed
the win for the visitors, allowing everyone to relax.
Dave J lost a 2k break against Chase , which proved decisive.
Ric beat Del in the last, and The Plough sealed the league win,
with a deserved 3-2 victory. Congratulations!!!

Good times at the Hassocks!!!!

Thanks Baz. By halfway through the third game, some of us were thinking that a 5-0 win for the home team wasn't all that unlikely... But Richard played an excellent defensive game to get the win, and all of a sudden the pressure was off, the table seemed to get much easier, and Ric played as if dealing with a flat tyre on his way to the game was ideal preparation.

Good sociable evening with the Hassocks and thanks as always to Dom for the food.

Congratulations to The Plough on winning the League beating arch rivals Hassocks A 3-2 in the final match.
They have had a brilliant season only losing one match all season, to Hassocks A.

Congratulations and commiserations to Hassocks on being Runners up with 7 out of 10 wins.

The League table remained static for quite a few weeks, but good wins for the Millers and to the Nomads who grabbed a win in the final week & are proud holders of the wooden spoon.

Thanks to all for a good season with all matches played on time, this just leaves the Team Cup to be decided.

The Millers made use of the all away breaks, but the pivotal leg was Tony Williams winning 900 -890
