Well done to Surrey's Richard Cox who made the final of the 4-pin World Championship this evening. Having won the plate final last year, Richard continued from where he left off by winning 3/3 in his group before storming through to the final where Jeff Bridges (runner-up in the last two events) finished his excellent run.
Well done Richard!

A good day all round for the Surrey contingent of John Slee, Richard Cox, Joe Elleson and yours truly, all four making it through the qualifying rounds in 4th, 6th, 7th and 25th place respectively from a 68-player line-up (John, Richard and Joe all topping their groups). Three of us then fell disappointingly at the next stage but Richard making it all the way through to the Final. Here is his record for the day:
Richard Cox (Group 8) bt Ollie Gooch 1750-1380 bt Brendon Hoare 1330-1080 bt John Tyson 1230-980 last 32 bt Peter Sturgeon 1860-410 last 16 bt Pete Shipley 2270-830 Qr final (2 legs) bt Sam Kerruish 1800,950 - 100,1850 Semi-final (2 legs) bt Dave Brewer 1260,1920 - 1530,1240 Final (2 legs) lost to Jeff Bridges 1420,60 - 1340,2530
