Kevin Tunstall has won a record 7th All England title (and 3rd in a row) and is now 3 clear of next man Bernie McCluskey on 4 titles.
He did not have it all his own way as Mark Brewster was within a few hundred of knocking him out of the group stage, and Steven Sheard lost a 10k break in the final.
Although Steven recovered to lead by 5k, Kevin stepped up to make a winnng break at the start of leg 2 without missing a 100 split on a nice table 4.
This is how the groups panned out. The 10 champions were aplit into groups of 5.
Group A
Kevin Tunstall and Mark Brewster were the form players going into this group and were set for a big match at the end as they drew each other to play last. They both overcame Phil Buckle (Cambs), Bob Chapple (Guernsey), Ernie Jordan (Bucks).
KT unbelievebly misssed both balls on his opening break against Mark, and Mark made a 5k response, Kt stepped in with 7k, but his halfway lead was only 760. The rooster was looking for around 10k to seal his place in the final but on 8k left the red short of the left hand fifty and was off a few shots later leaving both balls over the 50 hole. KT got the balls back and although he had one dodgy moment he won by 420.
Group A P W L Score Ave Pts Legs Won

R Bob Chapple Guernsey 4 1 3 19,350 2,419 2 1
S Ernie Jordan Bucks 4 0 4 28,080 3,510 0 1
Group B
Dominated by Oxon's representative Steven Sheard, winning all his games (and legs) with an impressive 11,738 average. Surrey's Jim Greensted and Northant's Jason Neal had mathematical chances going into the last games but were requiring scores in excess of 40k. It mattered not as Steven beat Jim in his last match to complete the unbeaten record. It was a strong group as Tony Woolvin and Tony Walsh were 4th and 5th, both winning 1 match only.

Well done Kevin, good to see all counties represented and to see Bob Chapple representing Guernsey (who was rewarded with a fine win over Ernioe Jordan) - maybe a nudge to see if Jersey can send a representative next year.
Scores from final
KT 520, 13,670 (14,190) bt Steven Sheard 4,930, 2,250 (7,180)
