It is with great sadness that I have to tell you all of the passing of Peter Shaw. I understand he died between 14th and 15th August, alone at home.
Peter was never the most outgoing of people, and not a great conversationalist. But I think he enjoyed coming out on a Wednesday evening to play. He had been a regular in the league, playing at the King's Head, North Chailey, The Horns Lodge (which was where I first met him). He was good friend and work colleague of the late Kevin Stevens at Chailey Brickworks. He was a regular on the team playing up until the end of last season.
Taken ill back in April, he had a long stay in hospital before being discharged in July.

Sad news, Peter was a long standing and dependable player in the League and stayed with what was the Horns Lodge team in their different forms throughout.
As Dave said he enjoyed his weekly outing for the matches and was often one of the first to arrive. Condolences to his family and team mates.
RIP Peter.
