Sadly Neil Higgins lost his long fight and passed away yesterday, and I don't have any other details but find it sad to lose somebody I liked and respected. He was a great bar billiards player and will be missed.
RIP Neil

So sorry to hear about Neil. I always found him most affable despite being a tough opponent to play. A regular achiever since coming to play Mid Sussex League, as a diversion to begin with. His record speaks for itself: reigning Singles Champ, two Masters titles, and winner of the Seniors an amazing SEVEN times (which will probably never be beaten). Condolences to Lynn and family. RIP Neil.

Such a shame, as others have said a real fighter and strong opponent. His record in the seniors will stand for a long time. He will be missed by all in Mid Sussex & Worthing Leagues.
Condolences to Lyn & the family.

We are beyond sad. Neil was our team mate and my doubles partner, but above all he was our friend.
As others have said, he fought his battles bravely - both on the Bar Billiards table and off it. Although he had to deal with numerous difficulties, he never once complained. He had a dry and sometimes wicked sense of humour.
RIP Neil. Our condolences go to Lyn and the family.

Neil was a true gent of the game we had many battles on the table and I definitely had my fair share of loses against him as he was a tactical mastermind on the table and a gent off it was a pleasure to know Neil and I hope he is now at peace and resting condolences to lyn and family
