i will start the review of the day with what happened in the over 60's tournament.
Dave France improved on his runner up position last year by taking the title, beating Paul Lovegrove in the final out of a 16-strong field06 over 50s champ Jason Wadsworth, and Dave May in the semi finals.
Paul at once threatened to make both over 50's and 60's final, but much to the TD's relief lost out to Tony Martin in the over 50's Quarters, but he continued to make fine progress in the over 60's with wins over Tony Martin (so Tony got his revenge in the over 50's!), Cliff Slade and the 2005 over 50's champ Eric Hill in the semis. Eric had earlier stunned us all (and himself) with the over 60's high break of 17,900!
The final was won convincingly in the end by Dave, 27,170 to 5,860 with the aid of a 14,720 break
