Over 50's report next, in the background I have got the re-run of last nights X-factor and Same Difference have just bought out all those bloody kids whilst singing "any dream will do" - what are they doing in the final 4 ::). I am just waiting for girl band Hope to come on as I know they won't be there next week :'(
Back to the bar billiards, and it was Chris Newson who won the over 50's and his first national title. He beat Pete Farrelly in the final. Chris took a lead of 8,600 into leg 2 and Pete could not chase down the defecit and was still 4,700 behind at the end. Chris beat Pete Eagling, followed by a great win over Dave France, Dave Neilan and a semi final win over Pete Sainsbury.
Pete was also in great form up to the final with wins over Pete Ashby, Colin Winstone, Brian Dawkins and Tony Martin, he also knocked in the top over 50's break of 17,080.
Well done Chris - all I can say is HAPPY DAYS ;D ;D ;D
