So what progress can Cambridge report on this table situation.
White Swan hasn't been sorted still. Landlord has expressed that he is NOT going to buy the table!
Any updates on the Seven Stars. Last I heard no one had contacted them.
Have the White Horse and Nelsons bought theres yet?
Finals Night tommorow at Bottisham RBL if anyone is interested. £4 pp on the door. Starts 7:30pm

Seven Stars who joined at the start of 2007/08 Winter League have confirmed they no longer will be particapating in the Bar Billiards league.
I am sure all Billiard players would like to thank the Seven Stars for there amazing effort last year. :)

We in darkest Cambridgeshire have 11 teams in the league, four of which are affected by BBL decision. Already two landlords have said they will buy their tables, The Nelson's Head and The White Horse. All in all the league should not fall as all other tables are either privately owned or run by other operators. Will keep everyone updated as soon as anything changes. Keith Just in case anyone were to get the wrong impression, Johnny, this is an extract of what Keith posted on the 'Rentals' thread. When I read your most recent post, it looked like the White Swan would be the only table left in Cambridgeshire - but it would appear that the reverse is true, with the White Swan now the only one with a question mark over it.

I do apoligise there, the tables situation here in Cambridge (as far as I know) is:
Carpenters Arms - Safe Bottisham RBL - Safe Longbow - Safe White Horse - Unsafe (Negotiations) Seven Stars - Gone White Swan - Unsafe (Negotiaitons) Nelsons Head - Safe Six Mile Bottom - Safe Waggon & Horses - Safe
I have not been informed on the progress made with the 3 tables that are still in negotiations. Will inform as soon as I know.

:o Some shocking good news here in Cambridgeshire!
The Floods Tavern has now got a table, I believe right next to the Nelsons Head, so a bit of rivalry in the making ;)
Shame the Seven Stars have gone then it would of been 2 new venues in 2 years :o which is fantastic considering the league has been dieing for some time.
I hope they get together a team and become a great side! :)
