Would like to go to the Limeburners Pub to watch the match but can anyone tell me what the accessability is like as far as steps go ??? It's a typical country cottage-type pub, Jason. Entrance is through a barn-type door with a metal latch. You should find it okay if you take a slow and careful approach, the main hazard really is for anyone tall in banging their head on the way in. Once inside you'll find its all oak beams and pillars, but there should be plenty of room to spread out - I've yet to be in there when it's been packed. A bit of a trek to the (outside) toilets though. Having said that, it's a nice friendly pub, with a good landlord (Chippy) who loves his bar billiards.

Thanks Kev, I think they call that s#ds law, :-/ It was a table that needed to be attacked & we were both over cautious in the first game & I think the D needs a bit of attention it knocked us both out of our stride when the cue ball kept moving around, we"ll try & do you proud in the final just have to keep my partner in check thats all. ::)

I am sure you will do sandra and i proud, will hopefully be over to see the final when it is decided who, where and when it is played.

Sir KT and Lady H have made it to the Final of the Sussex Mixed Doubles, inf which they will play Steve Beach and Susannah Vaux (aka DuncanDisorderly/TTO.)
The second Semi was played tonight at the Handcross Club, the Three Horseshoes pair being up against Mickey Pope and Sheena Wood of the Stadium. [edited]
In the first leg it was mainly KT, as he was able to settle into a routine and finished with 9k on the scoreboard. The second leg was different, with Mickey and Sheena holding onto a thousand lead for most of the game - until KT got the balls back right at the end and was able to finish on a 4k break.
An interesting evening, with the spectators staying on afterwards for numerous games of 31's long after the guests of honour had gone. And yes, KT, some food did eventualy come out but not until 11.20pm . ;D

Tommo,
Point of order here. Mickey and Sheena represent the Stadium not the Albion.
:P

I suppose we could play it at the Loci. Both you and Hayley play it regularly.

Not too sure what the situation is @ Loci as it hasn't long been re-covered & they didn't make a very good job of it + it's not a very good viewing table as we are expecting a sell out crowd.

Would you have any objections to the Woolpack in Fishbourne I haven't played there for yonks + it's a nice top (so I've heard) with decent viewing?

It was a good final, played out in front of a dozen people, and well worth Margo and I travelling down to spectate.
First game was won by Lady H and Sir KT by not much more than a thousand, and Steve (aka Duncan Disorderly) went away in the second leg with a fine break of nearly 4k without looking like missing. However KT was able to overhaul this and eventually rack up 8k in the game thanks to splitting 50/100 from quite a way back, and Lady H adding with some nice angled shots into the 100 at the end.
A gutsy performance from D/D and TTO, well done on making the Final and congrats also to the new Champions. 8-)

Thanks to everyone that came along last night, especially Reaper & Tommo for scoring ;) Hard luck to Steve & TTO, but well done on reaching the final.
A special well done to Lady H :-*, this is her sixth doubles title (5 mixed & 1 ladies) in the last year. Must be some kind of record.
Thanks to the Marquis for their hospitality, sure to be a good venue this season.

Congrats to KT and Lady H, sorry could not make it but only evening I will see her indoors this week due to both diaries being full. Glad to see new venue used and look forward to receiving enteries for this seasons Sussex comps so we can push forward what turned out to be a good comp.
