Disastorous evening for the Schooner with the Dyke A winning 4-1, and the one being courtesy of them not having a fifth player. Table once again excellent, plenty of banter, footie on the telly and sandwiches and chips to follow.
Game One. Dave Anscombe with the break promplty off after missing break, Tupps on and does exactly the same. Dave builds 1.5k break, Tupps sets to work and makes sure at next visit. 9500 - 2180 1-0.
Game Two. Tj gets to 3.5k, plays ball by twenty for 20/30, gets both down but had cut it too tight to peg giving Colin Smith break back. Colin makes sure on first visit. 10790-70 2-0.
Game Three. Bill Kerr with break and off at just over 1k, Kevin Simmonds gets break back and makes sure, Bill finishes table out. 9270-4890 3-0.
Game Four. Rick Cunningham with break nad off with less than 1k, Mick Winder builds good lead and first back on break makes certain. 13210-1250. 4-0.
Game Five. Walk over to Arthur as Dave and Charlie both away. 4-1
Great evening and well played the Dyke.

Wellie B 4 - 1 Stadium D
Vince, Spencer and The Ox turned up at the Wellie early last night as The Stadium was closed. Any ideas anyone?
Game 1. Nick on first against The Lower Div Master. The result was secured for Spencer after Nick knocked my peg over. 0-1 Game 2. Mark played the best of all of us, putting 4 or 5k against Kim. Kim knocked my peg over twice. 1-1 Game 3. Vince broke off against me. I won by scoring about 2k and Vince knocked my peg over. Possibly the worst game of the night. 2-1 Game 4. Captain Wonderful put himself on against Keith. A scrappy game with Gary coming out on top.4-1
A good night with good beer, good banter and of obviously good pizza.
Other result
Kendal 3 - 2 Romans B

Romans A 3-2 Montreal
We are changing our name name next year to 3-2. Not sure how many we have lost by that scoreline but it feels like loads.
D Nichols 2720 - 2070 S Burns * * P Pitfield 500 - 1670 G Mechan D Roberts 3040 - 1000 M Barsby * * T Stapleton 2990 - 1800 D Robins P Alyemore 1140 - 2120 B Mechan*
One game left for the Mont next week against the Dyke A and then the team will be given extensive training programmes and diet manuals, to ensure they report back for next season alot fitter and sharper.

Albion 2 -3 Brewery Tap A
The Tap win the title after a tense finale played out at the Albion, in a match they had to win in 2 legs they got no chance but took their chances in the other 3 to win the match
Alan Brackenridge 11,150* - 400 Marc Chipman Jean Brackenridge 1,070* - 12,250 Nigel Senior Doug Dawson 2,990* - 6,040 Richard Wooton Bella Stoner 11,530* - 90 Chris Reeves Kevin Stoner 3,170* - 5,410 Gareth Lloyd
Game 1 – Alan on first and didn’t make any mistake with a 9k opener, although his touch up was a bit close as he left it touching the peg. Marc then had no chance to win the game from there 1-0
Game 2 – Jean missed both balls on her first split. Nigel made 4k which included a split which may not had made it if Gareth had not talked Nigel’s balls down the holes ;). Unfortunately for Jean no one was talking to her balls as a she could not get the break back despite a couple of chances, Nigel eventually did and made another 7k to level the match 1-1
Game 3 – Doug pegged his opener with a thick split whipping the 100. He got the break back to make a small lead, but Richard responded with a 6k break to put the Tap one leg away from the title. 1-2
Game 4 – Bella didn’t give Chris a chance to level the match. She had her moments though with one completely misjudged shot somehow finding the balls going down the 100 and the 10 hole. She did play very well for her 11k score though. 2-2
Game 5 – The decider was set up between Kev and Gareth. Kev has broken a few Premiership hearts before at the Albion and set off with intent, but was off after getting 1k. Gareth was unable to take his first chance, Kev capitalised and moved 3k in front managing to miss the one up but leaving it in the middle of the table in front of the 100. A few more visits and 10 minutes had elapsed now and you could smell the tension (I think it was the tension I could smell, or maybe it was someone affected by last nights curry :P) – and finally Lloydy got the break back! A determined effort of 5k brought title home for the Tap. Lloydy was AWESOME 8-) (not my words,…..Lloydy’s words). 2-3
The darts was also a victory to the Tap – Richard & Gareth defeating Sandra & Jean, Chris & Nige beating Kev & Bella. Jean was determined to have the last laugh and she did by beating Nigel, Richard and Marcus is singles games, ensuring not all the bragging rights went to the Tap :o
Well done to all my teammates Chris, Marc, Gareth (and reserve Steve Mariner) and captain Richard for retaining the title. Hard luck to KT and the Horseshoes who kept the fight close right till the end. I am going to have to start practicising my John Barnes rap ;D
