Sunday May 18th 1986...
This very day 22 years ago :o blimey, my team played in finals day at the county ground, we'd already won the league and the Premiership, that day we took on the mighty Wagon A and won 3-2 in the final of the Team knockout, we became the first team in the history of the Northants league to win the treble :D
Ian Coleman, Steve Oram, Jim Wilson Snr, Jim Wilson Jnr, Barry Fairey,
Sadly three of that team are no longer with us.
I'm now going to the golf club and hopefully win the Berridge Bowls trophy today, how fitting that would be :D

On the equivalent Sunday 20 years ago...........
15th May 1988: FA Cup Final at Wembley - Wimbledon 1 Liverpool 0.
Congratulations on your meaningful anniversary and hope you go on to add a golfing success to it today.
Meanwhile it is fitting for the Wombles that we have just managed to claw our way one step nearer to a return to the main football league by winning the playoff Final: We will now play in the Conference South, so remain one step behind Kettering - who also won promotion.
