AGM this Thursday 5th June Try & attend These are the proposals
When a team has less than 5 players for a league match, they must use the 4 player rule if they have players who have not used it already in the season
To accept the New England Rules ( where applicale)
For most wins purposes, if a player has no opponent he/she will have a win for themselves as well as the team
Draws for each round every time instead of just once using a knockdown table.
All games in competitions must be played on Thursdays ( to get enough dates all singles comps with over 16 players to be played down to a winner at each 1st round venue
Any competitions involving committee members at semi- finals stage or before if necessary venues should be drawn out of a hat
As you see it is most important for you to attend this is your game. ;)
Pete :)

It certainly showed at yesterday's meeting to discuss the proposals, because not one person agreed with me. They must remember that I have to be voted in each year, so if the members feel that I am not being fair, then I expect to be voted out. I do not agree that drawing venues out of a hat is a fair way to pick a neutral table, that is why I spend hours on the computer trying to make sure that every player in Competitions plays on a table only once in each Comp and on a table that they have not played within the last 3 weeks. I also feel that doing the draw all the way through helps the Comp Sec plan ahead, so if any of the last three proposals get passed, it will be time for me to step down as Competition Secretary. So do come along and have your vote (either way), in the words of the secretary "This is your game". Keith (current Competition Secretary)

I think that some of those proposals need a bit more explanation before they can be voted on! Will see you Thursday :)

I am unable to attend tonight, probably just as well.
Much, much thought must be given to all proposals and voters should take everything into consideration, including the progress of the league, not just there own insular ambitions.
Presumably there will be a period of silence in honour of Ray.
