Brewery Tap A 5 - 0 Montreal
Good effort from the Montreal who battled well but couldn't quite take a leg off the in form Tap. Chris Reeves knocked in a 20k break.
Brewery Tap 1 - 1 Montreal (darts)
The darts game was a bit closer but it was not of the standard to worry the players at the Lakeside, despite Richard "one dart" Wooton's 100% checkout rate.
Other result Duke of Wellie B 2 - 3 Romans A
The decided involved a 3k lead for regg3y followed by a black peg. I am sure he will elaborate later....

Windmill C 4 Dyke B 1
TJ break against TerryRace. TJ pegged when approaching 6k, Terry only managed 2k on break, TJ back on twice down on break then almighty kick leaving both up. TJ first to retrieve break with bar due, played table to bar and touched up with enough. 1-0.
Gina Sherratt break against Terry Molloy, Gina off cheaply at 600, from there Terry controlled game and ran out comfortable winner. 1-1
Dave Anscombe on break against Terry Coughlan, Dave off at around 2k, Terry really did not get on with table and Dave added a very useful 5k. 2-1.
Arthur Brewster break against Moppy. Arthur opened with over 6k and this was enough. 3-1
Bill Kerr break against Mick Hal, Bill with over 5k opener and as much as Mick chased could not close the gap. 4-1
Good evening, friendly banter only problem, still no draught bitters and then sin of sins run out of Guinness, but lets hope things can only get better.
Charlie Cooper popped in to pick up Gina and the Dyke A beat the Stadium A 5-0.

Here goes Nige
Game 1. Nick 1960 - 5240 Dave Sleepy. Sleepys 4600 break to start the night was just a bit much for Nick. 0-1 Game 2. Mark 2010 - 6290 Dave Roberts. Mark had a couple of chances but Dave played to well for him. 0-2 Game 3. Pete 4470 - 1250 Terry. The tide started to turn at this point of the night. Terry had big problems trying not to knock pegs over, whilst pete plodded on to get one back. 1-2 Game 4. Tim 2690 - 1590 P Aylmore (sorry I didn't catch his first name). A scrappy game from both players with Tim just dragging ahead. 2-2 Game 5. Me 5400 220 - Paul 890. 2-3
I have told Chris Parsons that I don't mind if he writes anything insulting about me and this game. So, please moderaters, let him get away with it this time.

As a mere division 2 player, I am not qualified to comment on your performance.
However,
To improve my own game
Please can you explain why...
When you are 5000 points ahead...
And all you need to do is avoid the black peg....
Would you possibly want to play a shot so close to the peg that it knocks it over..
Thus losing your score...
And the game...
And the match...
:-[ :'( :-[ :'( :-[ :'(
Pete was tearing his hair out ;D ;D ;D ;D

It takes time the learn the wisdom of that style of play. When you have mastered it ,you will soon be losing games and matches just like me.
P.S. It also gets expensive when the Guv fines you £5 to the charity box for playing shots like that.
