Having just sat through two games today (France 0, Romania 0 and Holland 3, Italy 0) I will say that the first was one of the most boring I've ever seen and the second one of the most exciting.
I have to admire the way Holland took the game by the throat and refused to be phased by the Italians' histrionic play-acting (going in hard on a challenge and then rolling over and over on the ground).
A terrific second goal from one-touch football.
So who's going to win - as if we really care ?

From the start have fancied Holland, but much depends on the squad not falling out with each other. But as you say Tommo who really gives a damn.

I've just watched Holland dismantle Italy and they must be one of the favorites. But my money is on Portugal. They have many play makers and a number of dead ball masters.
Italy have got to up their game by two or more gears if they are not going to be one of the first teams on their way home. France may be feeling the same. Should be a very interesting game France v Italy.
I have not seen Germany play (some sort of Bar Billiard competition got in the way) but by all accounts they were their usual clinical selves.
But Portugal is my choice. :) :)

Always be on the look-out for the proverbial Dark Horse in any competition, and if you look at the " Group of Death " with Italy, Holland, France and Romania, do not discount the outsiders in this group. I fancy that Romania could cause an upset, escecially if they get a result against the Dutch.
If I had to choose the eventual winner, then I to go for the Portugese.

I am with Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't get the praise he deserves as the worlds most talented footballer!

He cheated 2 years ago, since then he hasn't and won World Player of the Year!
He is the worlds most talented footballer and I bet any team in the world right now wants him in there starting 11.

A defeat for Germany then......... unusual for them to slip up in a major tournament! :o
Croatia are starting to look like a pretty decent team though, maybe even better that they are there rather than England..... probably got more chance of winning it than we would have had if we had got there.....! :( :'( :'(
