I think Holland V France will be a low key affair.
Probably 1-1 or 2-1 to Holland!
With old United boy Van Nistelrooy scoring a double ;D

Another wonderful display from the Dutch masters. The reigning World Cup champions and runners-up are now in danger of going out. They now have to go for each others throats in the last match, and even success in that game is not a guarantee of going through.
Holland look absolutely awesome.

Ok, "Mr Farrelly" will do! Is Fazza another nickname for you Mr Farrelly :-X ;D YOU can call me anything darling, as long as you call me. Just wish you were either blonde OR a nymphomaniac. 1 out of 2 wouldn't be too bad!

What odds the Dutch play a weakened side to ensure they both go out.
Dutch starting to look awesome, 14/1 opening price looking good value.

What odds the Dutch play a weakened side to ensure they both go out. That thought occured to me too, TJ. But what if they decide to give Jan Johannes Vennegoor of Hesselink a start, and the blighter scores a hat-trick !!! They may have to resort to what Thailand did that time, and face the wrong way and put the ball in their own net a few times ! ;D ;D ;D

Then again, if both World Cup finalists can't beat them, what makes you think Holland will have soo easy?
Italy and France are still fearful names, and to draw to both was a huge achievement. Not all of it was down to them playing badly!
Romania and Holland will qualify. Maybe even see Romania beat Holland 1-0.
Portugal have a guarantee in the quarter finals however they are expected to win this thing so the pressure is on them. With Deco and Big Phil going to Chelsea, we might see more unity in the Portuguese camp!

Quinn screws Cambridge by selling our first team, now he leaves! Be lucky next season to finish 21st! >:(

I see no reason to change my original tip of Holland to beat Germany in the Final: A talented team usually falls by the wayside at this stage and that could be the Portugoolies tonight. :P
I enjoyed the Turks' spirited comeback against Czech but can't see them repeating it against Croatia.
Russia will try to stifle Holland, but there's no substitute for sheer brilliance and talent.
Most difficult one to call is Spain v Italy. Italy always win that one, and for that reason I'll go for Spain. ;)

Still think it is Hollands for the taking, but as usual Germany get stronger as the competition progresses, also have to say looked quite classy in the win over Portugal.

So's my touch of the other!! ;D Russia presumably being your 'other' Sav. ;D Croatia having just gone out to Turkey: they score in the 119th minute and still Turkey win with an equalizer after 120mins and a penalty shoot-out. You have to admire Turkey's resilience, but all their best players are either injured or suspended for when they have to play the Germans. >:(

Demise of the Dutch, but can the Russians repeat that performance. Totally deserved win and only team in it during extra time, the Dutch were outplayed. Biggest concern for the Russians must bge the inability to deal with set peices, certainly have the players to go all the way.
Now would not be suprised to see the Italians pull it off tonight.

Yes, you could say that, of the three semi-finals played so far, the underdogs have won each time - and the way they've played, deservedly so.
Spain are the last 'exciting' side left now, so hope they win tonight. If they don't, the competition is Germany's.

My vote was for Spain at th beginning, and that hasn't changed. Have a nasty feeling that Italy are going to get lucky again with a decidedly average team.
If Spain win tonight, would be great if they could win the tournament. If not, couldn't argue with Germany after their tremendous performance against Portugal.

Spain through on penalties, deservedly. and at least the negative ways of Italy are on their way home.

Poorest game of the tournament so far. The right result as at least the Spaniards were trying to win.
What value Casillas now?? especially as he's contracted until 2017 at the Bernabéu.

Such a relief when Spain won the penalty shootout - cheered as if it was England! Was necessary for the good of football that Italy didn't repeat their tedious World Cup "win".

And Euro 08 has been won by UK!
Won with two events in hand too. Yes, and I was in Annecy to see it!
I was "gutted" when the Germans were disqualified in the relay.
You have been talking Athletics, haven't you? Much more interesting than football any day. And a much friendlier atmosphere for families and old codgers like Fazza!
And in a lovely part of France too!
