Well this sucks, I have a match re-scheduled for the 4th August and that just happens to be on the same day as Manchester United V Peterborough. Pssh, now I have to choose between them :(
See Man Utd (which means me actually going to see them) or play important league game near the end of the season, this sucks ::)
The love and passion for both arrgh what do I do ::) ;D

so........
what time is kick-off ?
what time is BB match ?
can you do both ? - maybe leave as soon as football finishes, warn BB team you'll be delayed, and have the best of both ?
if yer footie team wins you can celebrate whilst playing BB........or commiserate.......

The kick off in Peterborough is 7:45pm so it is one or the other. Doubt very much that the game is on radio however I will see.
Do I buy tickets or do I play BB? wow this is heart breaking. :D
Man Utd usually play mid-day anyway do why different? Pssh ::)
Well it's not everyday you see Alex Ferguson against his son!

Hmmm, how many chances do you get to see Man Utd and how many chances do you get to play v.important league game???
If you have more chance to play in a v.important league game, I would go watch the footie.
If you have more chance to see Man Utd play Peterborough again, I would play BB.
I think best bet to do both. Go to the footie for 7.45 kick off, leave 9.30 ish and race to pub in time to play last game of BB ;D 8-) ;D

I am sure they would change the kick-off time if you asked nicely.

It will be a VERY tough decision, I do get from LadyH that I should go as it is VERY RARE. However I am torn because I can't back down from a BB match arrgh :D Heart V Brain situation. ::) I blame Nelsons :D Typical 2 people getting married and 2 people in Spain. On the same week as a match. ;D ;D

I think Lady H summed it up there with her 'balance in the scales of justice' concept.
In your position, if I felt that, although a very important match, the team could do without me, I'd choose the footie.

I know what I would do. Change allegiance to Arsenal and go to bar billiards! ;D I would understand if you said Everton or a good club, but Arsenal. ::) Well don't get me started on them. I have made the decision now, I am going to play the BB match. Mainly because I don't get my first pay packet until August which means I can't buy the ticket. I originally thought I had enough. ::) Before anyone slags off Man Utd tickets they were only over £20. Who was it again who thinks they should be paid like Henry? Was it Adebuyor ;D :D ;)

being one of a select few Peterborough fans down south (in fact anywhere tbh!), i made some enquiries as to squad selection for Man Utd as I only get up two or three times a year.
It is expected there will be a couple of smaller first teamers in the squad at least. Utd have espanyol 2 days before, and Juve 2 after so if the big names play, you will only see them for 45 minutes. Utd played Posh last year and it was pretty much the same.
Trust me that P'boro will go for it so will be an entertaining game as we have 3 or 4 players capable of stepping into a top championship team as they stand now.
Dont expect too much from London road. Its no Wembley!
