Wellie A 3 - Wellie B 2
An enjoyable night was had by all I think.
No scores to hand but the games went as follows.
Game 1. I played Brad in the starting game. A scrappy affair with Brad having a lack of luck. I managed to add 4030 to the 2400 I was given mainly because I didn't make a single foul shot (some of you readers may find that difficult to believe - Reg, no pegs, that can't be true). 0-1 Game 2. Being short of a player we had to recruit Sam, who had only played once or twice before, to play Jamie Taylor. Sam managed about 7 or 800 and showed that with a bit of coaching could be a useful player to have around. Jamie was just a bit to strong though and ran out the winner. 1-1 Game 3. The first of the A Teams three newbies Dave played Dave R. This was close all the way to the last ball. Dave R got to the table as the bar dropped 130 behind. He cleared the balls except the last scoring 260. Newbie Dave put it down the 200 hole at his second attempt to snatch the win. 2-1 Game 4. Newbie H played Gary. I didn't see much of this but Gary said he played like a plonker and could not recover his handicap. 3-1 Game 5. The last Of The A Teams newbies came to the table to play Roy the Guvnor. Izzy had a "game of three halves". She started quite cautiously, then had a spell in the middle of the game where she had Roy under pressure and finally had to sit and watch as Roy made a 1500+ break to finish to game and match. 3-2
Pizza and beer was, as always, superb. Fun, Banter and general leg pulling also in good supply.
Well done to the 4 newcomers, lets hope that they continue to play and progress.

Brewery Tap 4 -1 Romans A
Good win at home for the Tap. A 3-0 lead was made by Chris (against Paul P), Phil (against Toni) and Nigel (against Terry S). Rose's black peg when level with Dave Roberts made the score 3-1. Dan won the last against Sleepy for the 4-1 win
