Who will come best in the forthcoming Test Series between England & South Africa.
I wonder if Peter Farrelly likes cricket ;D

Oh yes (as the Churchill Doggie would say). And now after a long-awaited installation of Sky, will be watching closely live, instead of just "watching" it on Ceefax.
As for "Who will win?", I'll have a tanner each way on England.

That confident, eh Pete? ;)
England can't seem to win at Lords, so it'll be all uphill after the first test. And if Ponting is head-honcho Mr Nasty when it comes to arrogant captaincy; Graeme Smith runs him a close second, so expect fireworks. Vaughan is crocked again, Freddie is a disaster waiting to happen should when we lose the first one; all in all, not overly promising.
Mind you, if Broad Junior carries on impersonating his old man with the bat - and he & the remaining bowlers all do their bit, we might be competitive! A damn good pointer for next summer!! 8-)

Steyn 90 mph, Morkel 95 mph, Ntini quality. Collingwood and Bell look fragile, Petersen will get all short stuff and be out hooking more than once. Hope I am wrong but I think we will get blown away. S.A. have won 6 of their last 7 series, would have beaten India but for a blatently under prepared wicket. We did not look great against N.Z., and they are piss poor at the moment. See Freddie has joined up with the squad. His batting is not good enough at the moment, and has not been for nearly 3 years. However he will bowl well until he gets injured. Spin and Monty are where we look better than them, however as I look out of the window |I am not sure if we can prepare 4 slow, dusty, turning wickets. S.A. are around 11/8 for the series, fill yer boots? Not me. Do not want to profit from England getting wacked. Come on England!

Very wrong so far, and I hope to be wrong for the rest of the summer, however it is a marathon and not a sprint. Stuck at home today with my daughter who has tonsillitus. She has taken ownership of the sky remote so I have not watched the test today, however have watched some facinating episodes of Scooby Do. Just off now to go and hang myself.

I don't do things by half. When I'm wrong I'm really wrong. However I must point out that I was correct with pieterson being out hooking. Pete, 915-2015 would be thought of as part-time in my industry. Short shifts of such sociable hours are much sought after in my line of work, and very hard to come by. Tommo as for wanting to watch Scooby Do, I think I can be of help. Google 'Care in the Community' and they will sort you out.

Specialone Actually, your daughter shows quite a mature taste in her viewing. My granddaughter-sitting duties usually involve watching Horrid Henry or Spongebob Squarepants. ::)

My appologies. Now i know where you are coming from. Did the Spongebob thing a few years ago, and thinking back it helps you to apreciate just how good Scooby Do is. The subtle variations in the plot, mixed in with a bit of political satire. QUALITY theenjoyingmyhomebrewone.

Daphne likes hunks and Velma likes the intelligent sort, so I think they would BOTH be best off with me.

Thewherehasmypiggoneone It's not been removed, it's no longer on the imageshack hosting (temporarily or permanently) As I've said before regarding posting results etc as free images on imageshack, tinypic etc. They will only last as long as the freehosting company wants them. They will disappear! Sav

Well back to Cricket i might have to bite my tongue South Africa after their brilliant 2nd innings to save the match are going to be a difficult side to beat this so called summer.

Disappointing. Tuned in with the match delicately poised (or so I thought) with S.A. still needing 174 to win with 6 wickets left. Apart from the anger of Kellis when he was out to a full toss from Freddie, there was nothing consoling about our performance, we didn't even come close.
Still think we had a rough deal in the first innings, though, both Vaughan and Pietersen being wrongly given out to 'catches' that had got nowhere near the bat. >:(

Smith just world class, and weare a mile behind the South Africans even if at one stage it did look as though wewere going to compete.
