Who will win the open?
Without the Tiger, really does look open. Won it,beaten in a play off, never plays a bad open, Justin leonard @ 50/1 is my tip.

That should have been Justin Leonard. Stay away from the keyboard when you have been drinking Shaun.

Bet no one predicted The Great White Shark would be leading going into the final day. Well even he probably didn't. However, he did say something that was in the papers before the tournament started. This was that with modern equipment players the ball is hit straighter but it is far more difficult to move the ball around, and in the old days to cope with the predicted conditions they would move the ball around a lot. Must be something in that considering he has a 2 shot lead! It would be great to see him win, his career deserves much more than the 2 majors he has won. My bets all of a sudden came into contention from nowhere yesterday. Ben Curtis (200/1) and Antohony Kim (50/1) barely made the cut and they are now tied for 5th - and I have got them each way so I will be watching nervously this afternoon (after the Grand Prix of course)

I've got a feeling that Padraig's son will be looking for ladybirds this afternoon. ;D Good call, Vinny. Ladybird families esconced inside the Claret Jug for one more year. Great White proved there's still an edge to his game (serrated one ?) even at the ripe old age of 53. But what about that amateur who had to forfeit his 100k prize money for being an amateur. :o Gutted or what ?

Ancient rules indeed that he cannot turn pro during the open, but what a feast of golf and for us mere mortals good to see the best struggle with the weather conditions.
What a finish by Harrington and Poulter showed his metal. Gregg proves hopes for the oldens yet.
