I think we (Corner House A) lost 4-2 at Masons, but I wasn't taking much notice!

Glad you kept your nerve Auntie for the equaliser ;D Although this was only the Summer League, this must be one of the most tense games Pauline has had to play in all the years that she has been playing. Pauline was leading by a few hundred, when young Chris brought the ball back close to the black peg (unintentionally I might add), Pauline cleared the balls at the bottom of the table, leaving just the one ball close to the peg, she decided to go for it straight up the table and played a fine shot to keep the peg standing. Moments later Chris done the same thing (unintentionally again), leaving the ball in an even harder to clear position, D side of the Black peg. Chris was still just behind on the scoreboard with not much time remaining so had to move it. After being told by a team mate how to play it ::) (away from the table, so breaking no rule) he played a great shot to split the peg and get one ball down, but failed to get the break back. He still could have won though, because he eventually did get the break back in time, but missed when he was still behind. At the end I thought Pauline was going to need Oxygen or the kiss of life, as it looked as though she couldn't breathe. ;) ;D Great point won Captain and unlucky Chris, but you still played well to win the 1st game.
