Hurst A 3 -2 Laughing Fish
A fantastic night, great company, some great bar billiards from everyone, and what a fantastic table!
Jim Ashford 6350 (1480) vs 1870 (490) Roy Wells
Jim off to a good start with a 3k opener, followed by a bit of scrapping at the top of the table, but with both managing to get the remaining points with a few smallish breaks.
Henry Brooks 11510 (0) vs 3020 (490) Peter Hall
I kicked off with 7.5k, shortly followed by the other 4k, with Peter playing the table out at the end for 3k.
Jim Ashford + Andy Brooks 2600 (1480) vs 8720 (1480) Bob Hall + Sandra Race
Bob and Sandra gave Jim and Andy no chance with a 3k from Bob, and a 2k from Sandra, followed by a few medium sized breaks to finish off.
Chris Ashford + Henry Brooks 4120 (0) vs 12840 (0) Peter Hall + Kevin Hall.
I came off early after a thick split...Curtains! A fantastic 10k for Kevin gave them a comfortable lead. I got back on quickly to rack up 3.5k but missed at the top to let Kevin on again, playing the table out for 2.5k. One fantastic game of bar billiards!
Chris Ashford 2630 (1970) vs Kevin Hall 11750 (0)
Chris missed his first break, letting Kevin back on for yet another brilliant 10k break, and sealing the match for the Hurst Club.
Many thanks for a great evening lads, and once again, what a fantastic table!

Great match from the sound of it. H being severe on poor Papa Hall for a second time, but then being avenged by the Reaper. Nice one from BobHall and Sandra too. 8-) Confirms the Hurst table's position at the top of the tables league !

Sounds like a good evening was had by all, with some great scores confirming that the Hurst table is justifiably top of the Tables Table....! 8-)
Nice to see H getting on so well with his new Interleague Home Table, I predict a lot more big scores coming his way there in the next few months......... ;D
........ also great to see that Lady H & BB Reaper will have to face some more tough challenges this season to defend their Mixed Doubles Title - it's going to be a fantastic season! ;)

Greyhound 1 Watermill B 4
A well deserved win for the Watermill B team who all managed to get the break on our table. Peter Burchell managed to salvage a bit of our pride with a 9k score in the final frame. Details to follow when I get home.

Brewers of to a wobbly start in the charity cup.
Brewers 3 Royal Oak 2
Claire Baldock (2540) 3200 Fred Jones (1450) 3190 Russell Jennings (1450) 2690 Colin Humphrey (1090) 3160 Hinkins/Stockinger (2170) 3160 Humphrey/Jones (1090) 3610 Jennings/Storr (1450) 3000 Jeffrey/Shepherd (720) 2720 Lyn Storr (1810) 1870 Richard Jeffrey (720) 5750
A fan-bloody-tastic evening once again as the Brewers visit the Royal Quercus for the second time in a fortnight.
Table was just as good as first time around, and still pretty slow, runs true enough maybe a little left roll at dead weight, but that could have just been me.
Top marks to Nigel ( the chef I think) for yet another banquet of biblical proprtions served up for seething masses, shredded crispy beef in sweet chilli yeeeeeeeaaaaaaah BABY!!!!!!!! Far to much other stuff to list, and it was all superb. Think I might play out of there next season.
Top marks also to the Girls (and Russ) for a great evening, and very gracious in defeat, despite the scorer messing up big time with Lyn's score against me in the last game, with her handicap and final score it appears she only scored a total of 60 points, not so not at all, probably should have had a couple of thousands added on to that but the scorer missed em.
