:( Sorry to hear that Pete, looking at the sections, I can see it wouldn't have mattered which section the Shelly were in they would have to travel. it's a shame because we need them in the league. Good luck on trying to keep them in. Tell Martin he will owe me a few beers if his team drops out. :'( :'(

I do hope, if it's official that the Masons A & the Shelley have pulled out of the league, that someone tells their opponents that they will not have a match, as they are both away at the Corner House & the Marlborough Club, so they don't have to put on food.

If the committee had a bit more backbone Masons would not have needed to make a stand its a sad day after all the hard work that was put during the scare over tables being taken away.Still anyway who needs a committee when certain people call the shots

Pete Please will you let the Secretary know of your official intentions in writing and not the forum--thanks As it's now been over two weeks since they said they were going to pull out and resign as Chairman and Committee member, I would have thought it would have been in writing and with the Secretary by now, so we can call a meeting and appoint a new Chairman. I know Mick was really gutted on Thursday when he came in the Nelson to find out what it was all about, as he said he only found out he wasn't playing on that night. It would be great if they could still find somewhere to play in the Oxford League or amalgamate with the Shelley perhaps, if it's possible. I hope it's all sorted very quickly, as I've got to work out the next lot of Competitions for the 9th October. Keith.

The league has already started and you have not pulled out of the league, so if you now withdrawn, that is down to you. I do not think money should be refunded for a team withdrawing from the league when the league has already started.

Seeing as we were unhappy at committee decision before league started we are entitled to a refund . A unaninmous vote was made at first grading meeting so it should not have been turned around because some could not make it .At the old uns v young uns match we called for an E.G M so the league should not have started until after E.G.M decision. We want to play but feel that committee need to reply to our grievence. As for amalgamating Shelley & Masons how can that be when those players from Masons would be to strong for section 2

Lets have some good news for a change
Shelley Arms are back :) thanks to Martin Coulthard in rallying around to get players signed on. I think they only start with the four player rule this week but he informs me that he has three more signingd lined up.
Well done and thanks for your effort.
Pete
