I have just seen the sad news about Dennis Alderton.I remember him when I first started playing in 1976.I played for my works team at Gross and finished playing(or so I thought) at the snipe.I remember Dennis giving me a few tips which I still use to this day as I have started playing again in the Mid-Sussex league.Dennis was a true Gent and I am sure is sadly missed by all players not only in Brighton but all over Sussex. While I am on the keyboard are my old Snipe teammates Harry Leeson,Alan Kipling and big John Macfarlane still playing.
Best Wishes
Paul :( :( :( :( :(

Don't think our paths have crossed Paul, but Dennis is certainly missed by the Brighton players and he was indeed a true gent.
Harry Leeson rarely plays nowadays but turns up for Terry Races' team when they are short, As for the other two I have never met them so they haven;y been playing for 10 years at least.

My dad would have been thrilled that he was thought so highly of and remembered after all this time. But the usual bug bear would have been getting the name wrong we got called many things but the name is Alderson

Regards Paul Certainly his name was Mick he still works there part time he has been there for about 35 years I think. He still wears the black trousers and white shirts real old school. Sandra
