As we didn`t start our matches last night, Lady H & I decided to have a drive round the three matches in Worthing in the Lower division. We ended up at the Dolphin to see them playing the Henty. It was a very tight match, so much so that the fourth leg was tied, with Pete needing the 200 to tie with fellow Worthing debutante Ros Appleby. Roy Marsh & Gary Iles put the home side 2-0 up before the Henty grabbed one back. The fifth game would have gone the way of the home team if Ben hadn`t pegged a 1200 break :(. Nick hung on to get the point and halve the match. If trophies were awarded for keenness, exuberance and just plain old teamwork, I would have presented the Dolphin with one there and then. Great bunch of lads, hope they enjoy the rest of the season as much as they seemed to enjoy last night. ;)

Welcome on board Anna, good to have more info on 2nd Division. Have been busy on the wdbbl.co.uk site and there is now a section for each team, match reports going on, player performance, best scores/breaks by division and the ranking points by division as well.
Intend to get as much on there as possible so good to get input as this keeps the site up to date and adds interest for those viewing nad those compiling. Tony.
P.S Landlady at Schooner not bad at the catering, have to remember not to eat before home games.

Good to see match reports on three of the four games played, and this is very useful when inputting info onto Worthing site, but also serves to spread the word for bar billiards at all levels and promote the game to others. Look forward to this continuing and why not encourage others within your sides to join the forum, and also to browse the Worthing site. www.wdbbl.co.uk P.S. Good to see our league secretary and Lady H taking the time out to support the teams.
