First and foremost, sorry for the football thread.
Being a Peterborough fan, its not often I get to see a "premier" league team at London Road, and well, today was no different.
Leeds have fallen and fallen from the top of England and the top tier in Europe and now languish in England's third tier.
Before the game I was praying for a win against dirty dirty Leeds. Afterwards, I left thinking what an amazing set of fans this League 1 club have.
Hats off to any Leeds fan out there-you get a lot of abuse, when in actual fact you follow your team through thick and thin, take almost 5000 fans (our average gate is 6,500!!) to an away game in the little ol' east midlands and out sung us with ease. Even after the final whistle blew, you guys were still chanting away. Posh's first ever sell-out in the league as well with just over 13,000 present!
Leeds players were well behaved. Not one booked the whole game which was played in a great spirit.
P.S Leeds got obliterated 2 nil but Im sure at Elland Road they will p1ss all over us.

No apology needed for discussing football on a Saturday, Senie. I've dug this old post up which might amuse: Well I'm a "Womble till I die". The wife keeps feeding me, and I'm turning into the right shape, too. >:( The Wombles invaded Burgess Hill two years ago: 2,000 of us descended on the town and a double decker bus parked outside the Kings Head pub. At the ground I noticed Ian and Donna Williams and Russell Jennings (who play b/bs for the Watermill). They kept up a noise throughout the game, someone was banging on a biscuit tin, and they outsung us although their supporters were outnumbered by 100:1. After the game, they stood by the exit and 2,000 Wombles shook them by the hand. Football fans in the truest sense of the word. Wimbledon FC of course played alongside Leeds in the Premiership, but had their club stolen by the city of Milton Keynes and had to start from scratch. There are parallels between Posh v Leeds and Burgess Hill v AFC mentioned above.
