Duke of Wellington B 2 - 3 Montreal
Montreal recieved all 5 breaks.
J Perrin 10080 - 1860 M Barsby
M Senior 4780 - 4890 G Mechan
T Scotney 9320 - 2220 S Burns
C Parsons 2750 - 4350 M Scott
G Frizzel 1290 - 1920 B Mechan
Game 1: Micky not capitalizing with the break and John made some good breaks to get his first 10k in the brighton league. WELL DONE JOHN. 1-0
Game 2: This one was crucial for me to win. Was going well on my opening break then the red ball rolled off the spot as it did on many occasions throughout the night. Mark looked to do enough and i was 500 behind with the bar about to drop. One ball left and 10 in front it took me 3 attempts to find the 100 hole and secure the win. 1-1
Game 3: Steve started well finding the break and the slit scoring 2200, then Time got on and got the balls back to only score 1300. Steve failed to pot on his next shot and Tim got the balls back again playing the table out with a steady 8k break. 2-1
Game 4: Time to unleash the Mont's new signing Moppy. Mop only got 1500 off the break but then made a couple of small breaks throughout to take it to the decider. 2-2
At this stage we new it would be our famous scoreline either way.
Game 5: Bob only managed 300 off his opening break and then Gary also struggled to get going. With the scores level Gary made an 800 break before toppling the black. Bob built up a nice lead but then went across the table to knock the ball out behind the 10 hole and white pegged. With only 3 min left Gary got the balls back but failed to capitalize and Bob stayed steady to the end to secure the victory.
Good night at the Wellie with the customery Pizza to end the night. Hopefully now with a full team the Mont can start winning more regulary and see what the season may bring.
