Hurst A 2 Sportsman 3
Some close games on a "tricky" top at the Fish tonight.....
Lady H 1050 - 4470 BB Warrior
I missed my first split and was off soon after, balls stayed at the back for a while with both of us scoring a few before I managed to get the break back for about 2.5k. Hayley got the break back straight away but unfortunately pegged her score to give me the win. 1-0 ;)
Nigel S 5890 - 840 DA-DM
Nige looked comfortable to start with, but missed a split at 1.3k. Balls were whipping out of pockets for both players for a while, Nige added another 3k ish and the balls then sat up behind the 10 hole. Colleen battled hard but couldn't get the break back. 1-1 :(
Mr Reaper 1380 - 2540 Sir Trevor
Trevor kept adding lots of little breaks and then leaving the balls in horrible places for Kev, who tried everything to clear them but just couldn't get the break back. 2-1 ;) :-X
Bobhall 2720 - 1400 Tony Driver
Tony was in the lead for most of this game before Rob got the break back near the end to secure a good win. 2-2 :(
Papa Hall 1740 - 2340 Lady Ros
And so to the decider, Pete broke first and came off after the 1-up, only for Ros to lose her opening break! Both players struggled for a while before Ros got a valuable 1k+ break to take the lead. Pete played some great shots to nearly catch her, but Ros kept her nerve to secure the win. 3-2 ;D
Enjoyable evening, plenty of banter between the teams with Nige on the receiving end of most of it - from both teams!! :o ;)
Great plate full of sandwiches and chips, given FOC by the Fish, many thanks to Andy for arranging that! 8-)
There was also a good quiz going on, great fun trying to answer the questions in that....... Colleen, Tony & Sir Trevor all on good form there and definitely helped to distract from thoughts of the whippy pockets on the table. ::)
