HH USC 4 - 1 Royal Oak
(Played order) Richard Kirwan 1490 - 1460 Jan Hinkins Close game all the way through ;)
Mick Kirwan 2510 - 1740 Lynn Storr Mick didn't get going as he did last week, but did keep them this week ;D
Chris Packham 720 - 1770 Anne Stockinger Didn't see much of this one :-X
Graham Sparksman 2990 - 940 Val Gritton Didn't do much from the break and struggled to clear the table afterwards :-/
Ray Pratt 1590 - 1100 Russell Jennings Strange game with Russ missing loads of contacts which eventually rubbed off a little onto Ray but he kept his head, scores would have been higher without some many misses :o
Good varied grub but too much, Wags not up to scratch this week ;D, Good company and laughs.

Forgot to mention in my report Peter Geal is doing very well after 2nd hip replacement, only using one crutch 1 1/2 weeks after op. Hope to see him playing soon. Shaun.

To beef up Bobhall's match report a little :
Malcolm Fuller 3300 Andy Hall 3200 Andy led all the way through and we thought it was points in the bag. Malc cleared the table after the bar and left himself the red which he duly put down the 200 hole to win by 100
Keith Potter 2030 The Old Fella 3200 bad start by Keith and TOF got a small lead which he held onto to bring it back to one all
Mark Potter 3700 Lee Morley 1090
Lee's first game at bar billiards and did a fair job until Mark put a 2K+ break together in the second half and got Plough back in front.
Des Gasson 1800 Papa Hall 3030 Mark Webber 3000 Bobhall 2540
Bobhall will have to flesh out the last two games as I went awol as usual.

The White Horse game is the only one without a match report in evidence, so here is a brief one, courtesy of the OldFella :
White Horse 4, Brewers Bravos 1 White Horse got their first match win this week, at home to Bravos. Trevor Howes won a cracking first leg to put Horse into the lead. Wins then followed for Colin Mansfield, Ian Powell and Mick Stratford to take the match. Spud Spurrier proved his worth for Bravos with a win in the last so they didn’t go away empty handed.

Our postponed match was played tonight....
CKRBL 3 Sportsman 2
Ted Stringer 1390 - 1550 Tony Driver This game was every bit as scrappy as the scoreline suggests, pockets whipping and leaving the balls in all sorts of nasty places. Ted needed to keep 1 ball up at the end..... but potted them both to give Tony his 3rd successive win - a personal best! 0-1 ;)
Jenny Edwards 1910 - 1690 Sir Trevor Neither Jenny or Trevor could get the break, both suffered with the pockets and had to battle to keep their points. Inevitably, it turned into a last ball game...... Jenny kept her nerve and potted the 100 hole first time. 1-1 :(
Pete Edwards 1830 - 780 DA-DM Colleen got a good start (first player to get the break!) and soon opened up a 1k lead, only to lose her score when a ball came back very quickly off the back cushion to take out the Black Peg. Pete struggled with the table, but did enough to keep the lead. 2-1 :'(
Dilly Williamson 4830 - 1020 Lady Ros Dilly opened up with a well built 2.8k break and was the first player to look comfortable on the table. Ros battled hard, but couldn't get the break back. 3-1 :(
Derek Taylor 1130 - 7610 BB Warrior Opening break of just under 5.5k, touching up and leaving the balls very awkward for Derek. I got the break back a couple more times, losing 1k on the way, with Derek having no luck. 3-2 8-)
Good company and plenty of banter...... but not really sure what to say about the table. ::)
It was certainly playing faster than usual tonight, which made the pockets whip even more than they often do here...... but if you can suss the break out and play at the right pace then you can score well here, however it will severely try your patience! :o >:(
