Results from yesterday.
Main competition 40 entries this year in a knockout format.
Sir Kt bt Curt Driver in the final. A match of two halves. In the first leg, Curt built up a sizeable lead. Everything I tried didn`t work and ended up 2,170 behind. In the second leg, roles were reversed. I had three useful breaks and cut the deficit back to about 200. Curt did manage to pull away again as the bar got closer. At probably my last chance to catch up, I brought a ball back in front of the 50 hole and potted away his lead. It ended up a last ball match, with Curt needing the 200 to win. He missed and on my second attempt at the 100, made it. Without a doubt, the best Alt rules final that`s been seen so far. Hard luck to Curt, great match.
Losing semi finalists - Fazza & Jackie Watson
Shock of the day must be Nigel Senior losing to Jackie in the quarter finals.
Highest break went to Pauline Withey with 1,960, but it still wasn`t enough to beat Steven Sheard.
The Plate final was won by Dennis Atkins, beating Chris Newson.

I am no longer "Fazza", I am now a soon-to-be-retired, elder statesman of the game. So I deserve my full name: Lord Peter A Farrelly BBPE, POAL, GTGO, TTFN TTFN must be Ta Ta For Now - well, how many times has he "retired" ? This guy has had more come backs than Casius Clay did. You can buy me a "retirement" drink in Jersey if you wish and I will buy you a double when you really retire. BBPE ? - Bar Billiards Player Extraodinary ?
