Montreal 2 Schooner 3
The Montreals favourite result yet again, getting known as the three two boys. Excellent evening, great banter sportsmanship and hot dogs. Not to mention some good bar billiards.
Mick Barsby broke off with around 2.5k only to peg it. Bill Kerr built a 2k lead. Mick got the balls back and closed to within a couple of hundred. Bill break back and made sure . 1830-6140 0-1.
Gary Mechan off to good start until mis hitting the split at 3.5k. Dave Anscombe built a 5k break, Gary break back but couldn`t take advantage as caught the split to thick. 3950-7220 0-2.
Trevor Hocking started with 2k, Gina Sherratt struggled to get to grips with the table and gap never closed until the last few seconds. 3180-1510 1-2.
Bob Mechan started with an accomplished 2.8k, Tj pushed his luck eventually catching the split wrong to come off at 2.2k. Both pushed around and added afew points, Bob break back and built another 3k. TJ break back plyed rest offf time out, but despite a spurt never had the time. Great game 6710-5730 2-2
Dave Robbins missed break, Rick Cunningham break back and touched up on 7920 with game won, Dave built 1k break, Rick back on abnd finished off. 1160-10690 2-3.
Thanks again lads for a great evening. To me what the game is all about. Look forward to the return. TJ

Wellie A 3 - Wellie B 2
An interesting night of Bar Billiards at the Wellie.
Game 1. Dave Bartrum 6520 - Mark Senior 1300. Mark could not do a thing right, while Dave play a really good game. 1-0
Game 2. Pete Brown 2450 - Garry Frizzell 1260. A "Swings and Roundabouts" sort of game with "the bald one" coming through the strongest. 2-0
Game 3. Dave Squires 1900 - Me 6240. Dave lost more points than he scored and also gave me quite a few chances. I should have scored more on top of the 1800 or so I lost. 2-1
Game 4. Brain Bartrum 5580 - Tim Scotney 3790. Tim started well enough but faultered towards to end. Brian played his usual composed game. 3-1
Game 5. Isobel Roberts 1400 - Roy Chuter 3480. Issy is coming along in leaps and bounds but still has trouble with those pesky pegs. 3-2
As per normal the beer was excellent, pizza didn't last long (with no help from Kitty) but no idiots this week.

Just a prat who had had a beer too many. Over the months he has been asked, politely, to go round the long way rather than interupt the games when going for a smoke. Last week he push past throwing my cue in the air and muttering about me getting out of way.
He has been told by a few people that he was out of order and now, out of his own choice, drinks elsewhere.

Brewery Tap A 3-2 Dyke A
Richard Wooton 70 - 9,260* Chris Tupper Gareth Lloyd 19,650* - 200 Charlie Cooper Nigel Senior 9,760 - 3,830* Colin Smith Chris Reeves 11,110* - 3,200 Mick Winder Marc Chipma 770 - 9,340* Kev Simmons
Game 1 - World number 3 Tupps made a winning break to start of 9k. He then fridged it to stop Richard making any inroads.
Game 2 - Gareth knocked in two big breaks to break Charlie.
Game 3 - Colin never looked comfortable on the Tap table and had at least 3 goes at the break before Nigel got them back and made his 9k.
Game 4 - Chris sealed the win opening with 10k.
Game 5 - Kev comfortably beat Marc who was probably still on Jersey time.

Haven't got the scores to hand, but a comfortable win for the Stadium A at the Dyke 3-2
Game 1 saw Doug Dawson close down a 5k lead from Brian Muggeridge only to fall at the last and Brian won on the last ball in the 200
Game 2 Alan and Terry Molloy played pass the parcel for half the game before Alan got the break back and eventually won 6K-3k
Game 3 Chris Elliott put together a series of breaks to finish with 14k
Game 4 Terry Race playe Sheena. Sheena off with about 1k Terry repeated Chris's effort with another 14k total
Finally in game 5 Micky Pope was off very early and never seriosly challenged Micky Hall who I think got about 8K
Excellent table, good food and not a grumblie in sight. ;D :D ;)
