Good Luck to all in the coming season :D. The new format should be very interesting and I for one will be looking forward to playing more games.

Just to echo Daves wishing all good luck in the new season which should prove interesting. Just to clarify a point will the high breaks stand for each division seperately and can I assume that you will only be able to register a high break that counts if you do it in a match against a team in your own division i.e that a premier/1st div player will not be able to register abreak against a div two player that counts. I ask because I have a fear that if this is not the case we could dishearten and maybe loose Div two players if we encourage players from the higher division to stay on the table to register a break that counts towards the trophy. If it does not then surely it is good for the game if we can ensure a winning score then encourage lower division players to build breaks and even show them shots that will improve their game and maybe bring on new and younger players. I know foremost we all go onto the table wanting to win, but can do this and still encourage others. As for the general foremat I think it will make for a much better league for the lower division players and give them the chance of much more variety playing better tables and against a better standard.

Tony, the effect on high break trophies withthe new format have not really been considered, but your suggestion that the high division break prize should not count against lower div teams does have its merits, and I will bring it up at the next committee meeting.
I hope this move proves a positive for our league, the lower divisions have been wanted a bigger of variety of opponent and now they will get this. we also have more matches, and I still believe each division should be competitive.
