Swan B 2 - 3 Stadium
Just like the old days, with these two teams the last remaining unbeaten in the top division going into this match.
Game 1 - Brian Richards v Ian Lelliott. Ian broke down at 2k, giving Brian a chance, but he in turn missed at 3k+, and Ian made no mistake with his second visit. 0-1
Game 2 - Barry Holt opened with 6k v Martin Smith, and won comfortably. Barry has still never lost a league match v Stadium. 1-1
Game 3 - Geoff Jukes had several lucky escapes in the early part of his opening break v Roger Taylor, but he settled in to secure the leg with that opening break of nearly 9k. 1-2
Game 4 - Matt Squire was off with less than 2k, but Grant Tully was unable to come to terms with the table, he got the break but failed to catch Matt, who went away again to win the leg. 2-2
Game 5 - Mark James v Phil Oakley. One visit each, as Mark compiled an opening 6480, which he did well to keep after getting into trouble by the 100 hole. Phil's reply was on course to win until he had an excursion in the last couple of minutes. He needed 400 to win with the last 4 white balls, and had a shot at the 200 hole to win the match by 10 points. He got the 200, but the black peg fell (and not immediately, either!). 2-3.

An easy victory for the Duke of Wellington against an out of sorts Schooner C. A pleasant evening with the usual spread at the end. Home team never got going, both Terry and Bill struggling to get the break back, Steve leaving his first one up short, Arthur and John both entertaining the crowd. TJ winning against Pete who is still struggling with his cue action.
Terry Molloy 240 8080 Chris Tupper Steve Aylmore 990 13310 Henry Brooks ( 11570 break ) Bill Kerr 180 9780 Chris Reeves Arthur Brewster 1600 4120 John Perrin Tony Jenner 5980 1760 Pete Brown

Three Horseshoes `A` 4 Marquis of Granby `A` 1
Mal 0 Jean 5,140 - Jean opened with 3k+, Mal (full of flu) chased the balls down and eventually got them back but missed up the table about 1k short. Jean added to her score but Mal once again got them back and would have been close but for the bar dropping 90 seconds short. 0 - 1
Lolly 13,470 Sheena 160 - Chris looked very good in his opener kicking off with about 9k. Another break at the end to level the match. 1 - 1
Sir kt 10,710 Sandra 780 - Sandra couldn`t get to grips with the break and I made three breaks for the win. 2 - 1
BB Reaper 11,950 Mama Hall 280 - Lorraine`s taken a bit of a beating this week off her boys. Firstly Hallboy on wednesday and now Kev. He opened with about 7k and made another break later on. 3 - 1
Stu 6,140 Chris R. 1,380 - Chris off early, Chocie made a couple of breaks to seal his first win of the season. 4 - 1

Margo has it too. We bumped into Mal and his lady on the Monday at the Jersey War Tunnels - could be the place where they both contracted it. :o

More von likely. especialy if Margo develops an "Achtung" instead of "Atishoo" PS - It would be unwise to discuss any Jersey underground chambers at the moment on this forum !
