We have been informed this evening, that the Corner House will be closed as of this evening for at least the next 2 weeks. The current landlords sold the lease back to the brewery, who were supposed to put a manager in place tomorrow, however, they are now apparently not able to do so for 2 weeks.
It is highly unlikely we will be able to organise another venue at such short notice, so, its highly likely we will be cancelling our home match this thursday, we will be rather upset if we are deducted a point for something thats beyound out control.
I believe there are also competitions scheduled for the Pub, these will need to be revised.
We are a little concerned about the future of the pub, let alone the table, so, as we have trophy's that belong to Wallingford, Eynsham and Oxford, we have removed them and they are now currently in the boot of my car.

Alan Oliver was saying last night that the pub will be shut for at least another 2 weeks. If anyone was supposed to be playing there tonight in the Eynsham singles, the games have been moved to the Nelson.

We played at the Vikings last night and frankly I thought it was one the easier away tables I have played for a long time once you have got used to the pace.
I made a 2K break on my first vist before Alan ran the remaining 13 minutes out missing as the bar fell.
The second game went the same way he went off with a big score had one go and then he ran the rest out but I still thought it was a good table maybe a little too easy on the break as alan didn't look like missing for most of the time.

Contrary to popular belief, the Corner House table is staying. Robbie, the new landlord, is keeping it for the next few months to review his options with the hope of attracting a team back there.
