Brewers Droops 3 - 2 Laughing Fish
H Beat Jock Andy F-W Beat Jim Ashford Mama Hall Beat Andy Brooks Les Whiteman Beat Sherriff Colin Humphrey Beat Chris Ashford
Apologies for the lack of match report, but I forgot to take my book along tonight, full report should follow from one of the opposition. Well played the Brewers, table was gorgeous tonight, so any firewood accusations are misplaced (I went off with 5.9k and ended with 9k). Also well played to Andy who hit a solid 8k and well played to Jock who, despite me not giving him a lot of table time hit just under 5k!

White Horse 1 Sportsman 4 ;D
Ian Powell 860 - 12,890 BB Warrior Having missed my opening break, luckily I was back on again quickly to put in a break of 12,360, touching up when I left a 100/30 split short up the middle. Ian made good use of the 100 hole for a few shots, leaving me to finish the game off. 0-1 ;D 8-)
Will Shaw 750 - 1,230 Sir Trevor Scrappy game with Trevor keeping more than Will. 0-2 ;D ;D
Trevor Howes 1,620 - 2,460 Tony Driver Tony missed the break, Trevor didn't score but then they both got breaks of just over 1k. Trevor lost a couple of breaks which would have given him the lead, Tony kept his scores despite having a good go at knocking the BP over near the end. ::) 0-3 :o ;D
Colin Marshall 2,520 - 2,730 Lady Ros Colin off early but first to get the break back and built up a useful lead before leaving both balls short. Ros got 1.3k before returning the compliment, both of them got breaks of about 600 leaving the scores almost level when the bar dropped. Ros kept her nerve to sink the last ball in the 100 hole and grab another point. 0-4 ;)
Colin Mansfield 1,890 - 690 Pam Peacock Pam lost her break when she hit the BP allowing an unusually out of touch Colin to gain a consolation point for the home team. 1-4 :'(
Nice to meet the new landlord who seems keen to support the home team and run a traditional pub, some good sarnies and the kitchen will be open in a couple of weeks for proper pub food.
The table is much improved and very playable.... once you work out the quirks! 8-) ;D

Well played BB Warrior, that was a great break, it deserves to be the best away break.
It was by no means all three down/one up/split either!
It was an interesting break, showing a full range of shots, that was a real pleasure to watch.
I can testify that the White Horse table was playing better than I can ever remember, really straight, the break fairly straight forward, with pockets that can stand a bit of 'wellie' without whipping too.
As has already been said, the sandwiches were excellent tonight, with the rare beef melting in the mouth!

Congrats Dave. I made what was the high away break tonight, with less than half that, so bloody well done. I think I may going for a hurst top play out later on in the season to have a stab at that...

WATERMILL B 2 BREWERS BRAVOS 3
Martin Range:1990 Lynne Moyes-Robb:1210 An entertaining opening match with neither player able to get the balls back for another crack at the break. Close all the way through but Mr. Range got them back right at the death to secure the frame.
Sabina Williams:1330 "Spud" Spurrier:2270 After Sabina missed the break i managed to get them straight back to put on 800. That was pretty much all that seperated us for the rest of the frame as the balls fell awkward.
Gavin Boyd:930 Paul Moyes-Robb:3040 Paul led off with the nights biggest break of 1.8k. Mr. Boyd got them straight back but unfortunately four-breaked to ler Paul straight back in. The rest of the game was more of a back-board affair with the balls stuubonly refusing to drop for both players. Pauls sees it out for a good win.
Tony Williams:3500 Nikki Hinkins:390 Fairly one-sided this one. The balls absolutley would not drop for Nikki all game, whilst Mr. Williams played very well to bring the scores level for his team.
Paul Blackburn:3220 XPTG:3860 A superb game to decide the match. Bravo left his one up short and Mr. Blakburn responded with 1k. A 1.4k reply from bravo kept it close. A worried bravo was forced to find his back-board game later on as Mr. Blackburn pushed him all the way. Fortunately for us, Bravo just managed to do enough to secure the frame and match.
Comiserations to our opponents, who played well and were friendly hosts. The spread of hot food was most welcome and we will very much look foward to our trip here again in just five days time for our charity match.
P.S. Apologies for not submitting anything last week but i lost all names and scores in a fit of stupidity.

Royal Oak 2 Saints 3 Lyn Storr 1030 TSO 3090 Anne Stockinger 950 Chris Little 3100 Jan Hinkins 1180 Peter Geal 870 Val Griton 650 Foggers 2420 Russell Jennings 1160 Bob Ellis 1090 Very enjoyable evening. The quality of the food was incredible. The new slimmer line specialone pigged out huge style. The hospitality was 1st class, lovely venue, apart from the lack of a phone signal, which prevented me listening to 9;20 at Kempton, my selection was placed. Nice to see Peter return to action, after double hip replacement. Thanks to Royal Oak for their patients, it took him a while to get too and from the table. Anne even offered to hold his crutch while he played, Peter ever the gentleman declined. Tso

With the final result now in, courtesy of the Old Fella, the top 3 teams in the Premier Division all won so remain unchanged, Greyhound move above Hurst A and Sportsman move up 2 places leaving CKRBL and last years champions in the Relegation zone! :o
The top 3 in Division 1 all lost this week, giving Bravos and United Services the chance to close the gap with their wins, no change for the bottom 3 who all lost their matches. :'(
