Hi all
Bravo here. We played the plough at home tonight and Im glad to say we won 3-2 YAY.
Liam chucher 3160 Steve Visor 1740 Liam had a cracking start to the match will a 2500 break after His opponent had miss his break and went on to win a convincing Game which took us 1-0. Adam Bateup 6590 Mark Webber 1930 I had a wobbly start to the game and after losing about 4500 in Two breaks i got my head down and put in a couple of good Breaks which took us 2-0. Mark was unlucky and could not get on with the table. Paul Moyes-Robb 1460 Geoff Parsons 3920 Paul had a hard game with a determind Geoff and could not find The holes but still in my mind play well and reduced the deficit 2-1. Lynne Moyes-Robb 2640 Des Gasson 180 By far the best game of the night in my opinion as Lynne slams home a 2010 break in the dying minutes and all Des could do was knock down old blackie which brought it back 3-1. Nikki Hinkins 660 Malcom Fuller 5070 Nikki had to sit back and watch as a relentless Malcom was determind to win convincingly wicth brought the final score to 3-2 Thanks to our opponents a good night had by all. Brav.

Laughing Fish 2 - 3 HHUSC
H 6660 vs 0 (BP) Chris Packham
After Chris came off with not a lot, I got a 1.5k break. I then followed with 3k, and proceeded to play probably the scrappiest (sober) game of the season to win, but I can't say I played well on my home top at all! Chris hit the black on his final shot going for the 200.
Les Whiteman 2450 vs 2830 Sparky
Les lead for most of the way, both of them struggling to hit anything spectacular but Graham hit a late 1.5k to steal the leg. Andy Brooks 1430 vs 2120 Mick Kirwan
Andy pegged more than he scored here. Was his game. Oh well, can't say much...
Chris Ashford 1500 vs 1690 Ray Pratt
Very similar to the previous leg...
Ray Carpenter 2970 vs 1470 Andy Short
Ray hit a good 1.5k early on which prooved enough for the 15 mins of top of the table that followed.
A good night and another friendly bunch of new faces for us. Apologies to the HHUSC that the table was not at its best tonight, I'm not sure what it was, but something was not quite right...will do my best to sort it out for the next home game.
Nonetheless, well done to them for the win and I look forward to the return leg.
Anyone for crib?

Despite losing, Plough extend their lead at the top of the Premier Division as the Droops v Zeds game was postponed.
Greyhound close the gap with their win over Hurst B and wins for Hurst A and Sportsman mean just 3 points cover these 4 teams, with CKRBL slipping into the relegation zone with the defending champions. :o
Watermill A extend their lead at the top of Division 1, with Saints moving above Laughing Fish who lost to USC. Bravos good win over the Premier leaders keeps them firmly in contention and defeats for the bottom 3 gives them a large gap to try to catch up. ::)
Updated table below.....

Thanks H as the USC team all enjoyed themselves at the "Fish" and can't wait for the return to such good hosts, good grub (Sausage Hot-Pot this time I believe) and look forward to entertaining you at our place.

Greyhound 3 Hurst B 2
Neil Burchell 4320 Darrell Skinner 5050 Trevor Rees 5170 Steve King 4380 Peter Burchell 2480 Ian Giffen 2170 Paul Goodwin 4510 Chris Kirkham 2740 Geoff Fairs 300 John Lear 3150
Darrell went off with about 3k Neil couldnt do much until a late chase(a bit too late) Paul played a steady game with Chris unable to get the break consistently Peter and Ian both struggled with Peter just shading the game. I went off with 4k and Steve came with a late chase but as in the first game too late. Geoff had one of those nights against an in form John who would have had about 8k had he not lost a big 4k in the middle of the game.
As usual a pleasant evening in good company
Sorry for the late post have been busy sorting the new VAT rates for people with the old rates hard coded into their systems(there are some pretty badly coded systems about)

Dinner was calling as I was wearing the chefs hat :) Greyhound 3 Hurst B 2 A match that was destined to go 3 2 either way don't have full scores Darrell played well against Neil Burchill 0-1 Paul Goodwin Played a very steady game & chris gained break a few times but near the end needed about 1.5K 1-1 Peter Burchill V Iang both players giving each other too many chances I got the break back right as the bar dropped keeping the red in the tray but ended up 240 short 2-1 Trevor Rees V Steve King Steve off early Trevor retreived break & settled on 5K Steve fought hard but had ball roll on D 3-1 John Lear V Geoff Fairs John Played a good captains game & showed his side how to play the table should have been on for 7K but lost a break with a side cushion shot kicking high, but still a good win 3-2

Report from the Old Fella on the other match.....
The A Team had a good home win over struggling Kleiners to widen the gap at the top of div. 1. Chris Nikolaj won a close first frame before Laser-Eyes hit the best of the match with 8590 to put the home side 2 up. Shaky Coles grabbed Kleiners only point with a win in the third, but Big Norm then smacked in a 7420 to wrap up the match. Icing on the A Team’s cake with a last frame win for John Staplehurst.
A couple of good scores for Laser-Eyes and Big Norm, which should move the Watermill table up the Tables Table...!! ;D

Ok, for the sake of completion...........
Handcross Z 5, Brewers Droops 0
Graham Daniels 5430, Sir Jock o'the Strap 3580 Mr Mike007 2680, Fred Jones 1800 tommo 6290, Mama Hall 1600 Johnny Haigh 3820, Jolly Tall Farmer 640 Barry Timson 2270, Noddy 980
Thanks to the Droops for a very sociable evening, and we hope they liked the food (margo made a special effort and they rose to the challenge !)
Re: the table, the home team had the run of whatever luck was going, Johnny Haigh managing to recover after pegging his opening break. Experimented with putting the table light on at 7.45, then turning it off again for ten minutes before the start of the match, as traditionally the table seems to 'overheat' by the last game and players start missing the break. Seemed to do the trick......
