Ron Wales vs. Richard Spurrier
This match was played on Monday the 22nd at the Sportsman and resulted in a 2-0 victory for myself. It is fair to say that this was not one for the purists. The first frame saw the balls hide in all the worst places and it eventually came down to the last (red) ball which i thankfully sunk on the first time of asking. The second frame was a bit better. Mr. Wales was very unlucky to lose his opening break when on 800. I managed to compile a 1.4k response which was swiftly caught but i managed to hit a further 1k right at the death to snatch a victory. It could have gone either way in all honesty and Mr. Wales was an exceedingly gracious opponent. Many thanks to Adam and Mick Kirwan for scoring this one.
