I believe that some dates for the AEBBA Competitions may be changed for next year..... I heard that the Over 50 / 60's may be moved to a different weekend and that there may have been some other changes?
Could somebody please post up the dates for these (and confirmation of dates for the Opens) if possible..... ???

There was much discussion on the calendar for AEBBA comps, one of the ideas being to bring forward the Over 50's & 60's to early summer.
These were not finalised at the meeting with the committee wishing to reapprise the dates. So please be patient and they'll be posted ASAP

Competition date next year will not matter, qualification is still 50 at 1st September 2010. Will not matter whether the comp is played before or after that

Could someone from Redhill confirm.... ;D These are the 2010 dates which the Redhill League reserved back in June: Having now touched base with our Chairman, Gary Powell, I can now give details of two of the three special Redhill weekends. The weekend in April where we held the BIOC Ladies at the Frenches Club (the last competition to be held there) is still subject to discussion. So these dates are definite : Sat 23rd Jan 2010 - One-Day Mixed Doubles
Sun 24th Jan 2010 - The Redhill Team Invitation.
Sat 8th May 2010 - Surrey One-Day Inter-League
Sun 9th May 2010 - The 2nd Surrey Open.
We have booked 8 tables with Brian Daniels (pp the AEBBA) for the first weekend, and 10 tables for the second weekend. St Nicholas School, Mestham will be the venue for both. ..............and.... The proposed date for the BI Ladies is Sunday 11th April 2010 at the Reigate Ex Servicemans Club. Tables are booked just have to confirm the venue.Cheers Gary" |

This is what I make the dates for 2010 - people please check they agree. Can't see any conflicts there, Nigel - apart from the BIOC Ladies at the Reigate Ex-Services Club on 11th April clashing with a SCBBA Interleague night - but that may not be an issue. :-/ Bucks Open will be on 8th August as pointed out. I'll feed all these events into next year's (ProBoards) calendar. tommo |
