Stadium 4 - 1 Duke of Wellington
Possibly the defining moment of this match came after 10 minutes of the first game, when Chris Reeves pegged his opening break of 10k+, and gave the break back to Martin Smith. Martin was able to take full toll, clinching the leg at first visit. 1-0.
Grant Tully was, unexpectedly, off cheaply v John Perrin, but he got a second break almost immediately, and was decisive this time. 2-0
Henry Brooks opened with 1910 before putting the one-up behind, Ian Lelliott made a 6k response which was tantalisingly short of clinching the leg. Henry did have several further visits, including the break back once, but didn't really look like closing the gap. 3-0
Geoff Jukes broke down at 3k, but birthday boy Nigel Senior didn't get them back. It was to be his only visit. 4-0
Chris Tupper salvaged some scant consolation for the visitors by winning a scrappy last game v yours truly. 4-1
This was the half way point of the season, but Stadium have one outstanding fixture to complete. The rearranged game v Three Horseshoes A will take place this coming Monday, 22nd December.

Schooner continue their good vein of form with 3-2 home win against the Windmill. No scores at the moment as a rather worse for wear reporter and skipper has mis-plaved the scorecard.
Arthur Brewster won the first against the break v Charlie Cooper. Steve Aylmore made it 2-0 with a win over Alan Messer. Gina Sherratt beat Rick Cunningham to pull one back. Bill Kerr secured the points against Dave Ingram. Edge Butler beat yours truely in the last.
A good evening, live music entertaining if rather loud, pizza to finish off.

Three Horseshoes 'A' 3 v Three Horseshoes 'B' 2
I dont have the scores but know the following
Mr Reaper struggled on for the win in the 1st. 1-0 Barry Squires won the second after Lolly took out the peg on a 6k break, Very unlucky shot. 1-1 Kt touched on 10k against Dave Jones. 2-1 Big Jim touched on 11680 after losing his opening break. 3-1 Adam Squires won the last with a flawless opening break 7700 against Chocie. 3-2
A great evening against our B's and plenty of laughs.

Marquis A 3 Swan A 2
Would post the scores but cards in the postbox !
Jean bt Dave F probably the game that set us up for the win. I was sitting there watching Dave get an 8k plus break and not looking like missing. An excursion up the top of the table ended in dave pegging. After a few goes each i got the break back and a 1500 break was enough to win the game.
Sandra bt John H Not much scoring at the start but then sandra settled down on the break and won by about 3k
Debbie lost to Chris S - Chris looked comfortable on the table and ended up with 7k+
Sheena bt Terry D Sheena built a 1500 lead. Terry got the break back but pegged on 2k. Sheena then got another break of approx 2k to win the game
Chris lost to Vern B. Vern ended up with 7k+
Well done team and looking forward to the return after christmas

Swan `B` 3 - 2 Marquis `B`.
Nick brown on first but off early, barry Holt gets the break back and touches up on exactly 10,000! Brian richards on second but also off early, Gary ridley plays well to win easily. Tony Burgess next with a 2,000 plus break against Doug Mahy, Doug wins eventually. Roger Taylor breaks with 1,500 ish verses Jaqui Brown wins easily sorry Jaqui. Neil Higgins off early against Matthew Squire, but gets break back again with a nice break of 8,000 plus I think.
As always a good night with the Marquis shame they did not field their stronger regular team.

No scores at the moment as a rather worse for wear reporter and skipper has mis-plaved the scorecard. So what happened between 11pm and 5am TJ? Or was life a blur?

Been a bit hectic since Thursday night. Mr Beers 40th in Didcot (fancy dress party) on Friday :-/
Three Horseshoes `A` 3 Three Horseshoes `B` 2
Mr Reaper 8,740 C.Lucas 2,520 - Chris was unable to repeat last weeks performance against Barry Holt and didn`t kick off with many. Both players had several more goes before Kev wrapped up the point. 1 - 0
Lolly 2,600 v B.Squires 4,660 - Chris opened with a couple, Barry got them back but soon came off. Chris settled down to make a winning break, only to bring a ball back off the cushion, losing his 6k break. Barry made enough at his next visit to level the match. 1 - 1
Kt 11,600 v D.Jones 2,150 - Dave opened with 1,900. I got them back and made a steady 9k. 2 - 1
Bigjimsilverfox 11,860 v D.Millard 50 - Jim pegged his opener of 2k. Dave had a tricky shot for a clearance but didn`t make it. Jim got them back and killed the match. 3 - 1
Stu 680 v A.Squires 7,720 - Adam`s opener of 7k left Stu no time to catch him. Good break.

No clue unless Rick picked the card up or opposition did me a favour. Rick and I ended up in the Pilot having just missed the train.

Gina found the card on the table after you had left (well, staggered out after kissing everybody! ::)) Tony, so my guess would be that she probably dropped it off for you. ;D ;D
