Tom and Camilla have just edged it, I think, with the most spectacular ragtime dance.
I actually don't mind now who wins, both couples deserve it!

Sure enough, the viewing public loved it. Tom was so light on his feet. As Bruno said, they saved the best till last.
Whereas Rachel's dance was if anything too sexy, with flying through the air into simulated copulation positions. :o Her best was two weeks ago, with the Tango: an encapsulating moment when they threw their legs out and clicked ankles. A pity they couldn't have saved that one for the final.

I was watching.... I'm just annoyed that the BBC 'fixed' the show to allow Tom to win. After all he should have been eliminated last week, but the BBC hadn't realised how disastrous it would be if the judges called a tie (which of course they did) meaning that Tom HAD to be in the dance off, and on last weeks performance he would have been kicked out.
I'm amazed Clive that with your analytical mind you hadn't realised that after last weeks events there was only EVER going to be one winner, the BBC couldn't let the person with the biggest fanbase lose.
To explain my earlier comment:
Last week when the judges tied Rachel & Lisa giving them 3 pts each & Tom 1pt it meant that however the public voted Tom would ALWAYS be in the dance off....
If the public voted Tom 1st (as they did) then he would have 4pts, whoever the public voted 2nd would have 5pts and 3rd would be 4pts - Tom would be in the dance off and then be voted out by the judges. (because last week he was NOT good)
Amazingly they didn't learn from their mistakes and allowed a tie again this week, same scenario but strangely Tom is the one who came 1st - IMPOSSIBLE
What they needed to do was bring in a rule whereby if the judges tied their votes then Len (as head judge) should have the casting vote so they can award 3,2 & 1pt BEFORE it goes to the public vote. The public voting would then be meaningful. But better still the judges should have MORE power, to stop the stupid John Sergeant debacle.

Agree that once it started to go wrong (John Sergeant being saved by the viewers vote each week after lumbering around, and dragging his partner on the dance floor like a sack of spuds ::) ) the scoring descended into a farce.
No-one likes too complicated a system of scoring - this one almost matched the Duckworth-Lewis method for one-day cricket !
Making the viewers vote twice in the Final was plain greedy. What should have happened was let the judges vote count for which two couples remained. As you say, Tom would then have been eliminated as the other pairs had almost perfect points (one couple had 80, the others 79)......... And then have the dance-off with the viewers' vote, and winner takes all.
