Hurst A 2 - Laughing Fish 3
Roy Wells 0 vs 17440 H
My break. Off after 3k, but Roy pegged his reply. I then played out the table with a 14410 break and the high away break and score so far this season. Table absolutely gorgeous. Any problems it has had recently have gone - best table in the league no doubt by a long long way!
W/O vs Andy Brooks
Hurst A were two players down tonight so the old man gets a walkover, though I should mention in his friendly to make up for the lack of a match he hit a personal best of a 6.5k break and a 7.5k final score!
Bobhall 3020 vs 2410 Ray Carpenter
Quite a scrappy game. A lot of pegs early on, then a 2k break from Bobhall followed by a 1k break from Ray but not quite enough!
Peter Hall 4730 vs 4550 Jim Ashford
Game of the night! Peter pegged his 2.5k opener, and Jim replied with a solid 4k break. Peter came back with a further 4.5k, and then Jim drew almost even with it coming down to the last ball. After a couple of attempts by both players, Peter was the one to sink it and take the leg.
W/O vs Les Whiteman
Poor Les has had his 2nd no show in 3 games, but at least its a free +2 in the W column!!
Thanks to the Hurst A guys tonight. Bobhall put together some very fresh sarnies, and the table was absolutely spot on!

Eight Bells 2 Handcross Z 3
DA-DM 2,750 - 5,380 Graham Daniels Really good game to start the evening..... Graham off to a very good 4k opener, but Colleen hit straight back with 1.5k. Both players got the break back but broke down, Colleen then pegged a 1.5k break when a ball spun off the edge of the 100 hole when she was on target to catch Graham up, but then she ended well with a nice clearance at the end. 0-1 :'(
Pam Peacock 840 - 4,060 Alan Downs Pam off at 450 (trying a split shot! :o), Alan replied with 1.7k then added another 1k. After that, it was all at the back of the table with Alan playing the table well. 0-2 :(
Tony Driver 1,660 - 1,920 Mick Holmwood Mick opened with 1.5k but then took out the black peg going up the middle of the table. Tony was struggling to score and Mick quickly caught him up and established a lead of about 1k, only for Tony to nearly catch him (good use of red ball in 100 hole!) in the last couple of minutes, but Mick stayed calm and potted the last ball to secure the win. 0-3 :(
Lady Ros 2,630 - 940 John Haigh Ros got a 1.7k opener and was first to get the break back but lost her score. After that the game became very scrappy with John unable to get going or close the gap. 1-3 :)
BB Warrior 6,780 - 2,510 Barry Timson Barry opened with just over 1k and was first back on the break but missed the split. I got the break back with about 7 minutes left, scored just under 6k and touched up when the bar dropped. 2-3 8-)
Pleased to say that the table has settled in well, probably flatter and more "user friendly" than it was at the Sportsman, although the area is very cramped for room when the darts team are at home as well. ::)
Enjoyable evening, with the Zeds gaining their revenge for earlier this season in the absence of their skipper...... ;D ;D

St Francis lost 3-2 to the greyhound. A competative game played in a good spirit The first game was ruined by the fact that the table had been tampered with. One of the front legs had been wound right up shortly before the game. My Thanks to Trevor and his team for allowing me to wind it down again. My appologies to the players who had to suffer the first game. We think we know what happened, and I am told the CCTV will be looked at.# Shaun Copied over from Banter Thread...... Dark deeds going on in Haywards Heath...... :o ;D ;D

Just to make it clear that the tampering with the table was nothing to do with either team, or in fact Bar Billiards. Because of a work related incident in 2007 I have been subjected to a personal vendetta. Can not say any more than that. Shaun

BREWERS BRAVOS 2 BREWERS DROOPS 3
Paul Moyes-robb:6390 Lorraine Hall:1930 An excellent start to proceedings! Lorraine lost her opening break of 1.4k but was soon back on to make another decent score. Paul then decided that this was a good time to play the table out for 40 points less than his final score above! Great stuff to watch. :D :o
Lynne Moyes-Robb:500 Andy Farmer Wright:5570 With Lynne struggling to get going, Andy drew the sores level with a relentless performance. No big breaks but rather lots of little ones made sure of the frame. :'(
Bravo:1440 Jock:9370 With a score to settle from last time they played, Jock went into Terminator mode. He led off with 2.5k. Bravo got the balls back but broke down on 1.4k. After that it was all Jock as he put in 3.5k and a further 3k at the end to put the icing on the cake. 8-)
Spud:2560 Colin Humphrey:2390 I did very little with my break but manged to get back for a further 1.5k. After that we both had chances to land a knockout blow but found the pegs got in the way! Colin was unlucky to knock the red in after the bar had dropped and i scraped home to victory. :)
Nikki Hinkins:2430 Fred Thompson:2500 What a finish! For the longest time Nikki had this match sown up but with the timer winding down Fred compiled a super 1.9k break to bring it level. Down to the last ball and Nikki was agonizingly short with her first attempt and Fred stepped up to clinch the frame and match at first time of asking. Great match but was gutted for Nikki who had put on her best score of the season. :o
So well played the droops, cracking match played in a good spirit. The only downer was apparently some half-wit at the bar making stupid comments as Nikki was playing her shots. Shame we didnt hear as would have said something. Anyway, all the best for the rest of the season the droops

A cracking night, as you say marred only by the W*****R at the bar, things will be said, believe me!! But on a more positive note, cracking night, great break from PMR to beat mama hall. A comfortable win for the farmer and then as you say a bit of slaughterhouse billiards for Adam. Tight match with you and Noddy set up a nail biting finish. I really felt sorry for nikki at the end and thats just not me at all, I in danger of liking u lot too much ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Congrats to H Glad you approve of the table ;D ;D I think BOBHALL deserves some credit for playing the match with only 3 players where the majority of teams in the league would have postponed. I know that it is dissapointing for those that don't get a game but he really is in a difficult position not having a regular 5 players every week. I sincerly hope that he finds a solution soon as we would hate it if they fold.

Yeah, it was Fred Jones. Not sure who the hell i was thinking about. By the way, i believe the score from the Plough Vs Brewers Royals was 5-0 to the Plough.

Cracking night at HHUSC great match I think Sparky will post the scores I was the Lamb last night being drawn against him on his table against the break we traded scores well but the 3K he made in the middle put it just that little bit too far. Not helped by the idiot who knocked my cue as I was playing the one up Good scores all round but Darrell waited to the last for his 8K break & 9K final score. ;D Very nice table & the club was very busy with darts match & salsa upstairs meant the car park was full again

One late report from the Old Fella's official herald to complete the week:
St Francis 2, Greyhound 3 Greyhound visited Saints and came away with a useful win. Neil Burchell won a low scoring first leg, but Matt Geal picked up the pace in the second to level it. Peter Burchell put The Hound back into the lead but a big 5310 from The Special One evened it up once more. Greyhound skipper, Trevor Rees, put in a good effort in the last leg to claim the match.
