Enjoyable evening at the Schooner and despite the home team having all breaks the Three Horseshoes ran out 4-1 winners.
Dave Anscombe started with 2k, KT could not retrieve the break. Dave added another 2k, KT eventually got the break back at 12.5 minutes and played out with 5k break. 3960-5760 0-1.
Gina off at 450, Geoff Jukes could not clear the top end, game turned into a to and fro battle at the top end. Geoff got break at end to squeeze home. 1560-2230. 0-2
Bill Kerr opened with just over 2k, In Lelliott got the break back but put the one up behind at just over 1k. Bill got another 3k. Ian back on break but of at around 700. Bill added another 2k. 8430-1880. 1-2.
Tony J opened with just under 3k, and Kev Hall on first time o break pegged at about 1.5k. Tj break back only added 800. Kev eventually break back and fautless 6k. 4950-6350. 1-3.
Rick C same as TJ off at aroud 3k. Both he and Chris Lawman struggled to get break back, once Chris did made sure with 6k break. 3660-6710. 1-4
Well done to Shoes, who once on break generally outscored us. Nothing wrong with top except a bit slow and unforgiving at top end if you pussy footed about. Feel we need to learn to attack top more. On a positive note Curry and Stew for afters.

Montreal 3 - 2 Wellie B
All 5 breaks to the Mont.
M Barsby 3860 - BP N Simmonds G Mechan 7820 - 260 M Senior S Burns 1330 - 3360 J Perrin M Scott 3710 - 6260 T Scotney B Mechan 2660 - 750 G Frizzell
Game 1, Close game and Mick managed to get the break back with around 2 minutes to go to make the game safe.
Game 2, I was off with around 3k then Mark seemed to hit all the pegs going. Break back and took my score to over 5k with 6 min remaining. Mark got the break back but pegged on 1.5k when going well. I had another little break to get my score up.
Game 3, Nothing went for both players and more was pegged than scored for the first half. John then took a 2k lead. Steve break back with 4 min remaining and took the lead only to peg his score and hand the win to John.
Game 4, Moppy opened with over 2k, Tim got break back and settled to make 4.5k in around 10 min. Mop got break back but only managed a 1.5k before leaving them up. Tim took advantage and set up the deciding game.
Game 5 THE DECIDER, Bob lost his opening break with a silly shot taking out the peg. Gary break back and when on 1.4k put them down 4 times. Bob had a couple of small breaks and kept his nerve to take the win and the match.
Good night with the footy on the telly and plenty of food. Chicken dippers, Pizza, wedges and sausages.
