Please could all players remember to record their scores in these matches as Sussex Ranking Points will be awarded for each game. 8-) Do you mean result ie 2-1 or 2-0 ? There were no added points for scores last year! Say i hit a 10k Break in one of my games does that mean Sandra will also get an Extra Ranking Point as it is Doubles and NOT Singles?

Score bonuses (for BOTH players) will be added this year and will count towards Ranking Points in the same way as the Mens & Ladies Doubles Competitions held at Hurst Club in January..... so, if the points scored in each game are not recorded then players will miss out on these and just get the points for each leg won.

SirKT and Lady H beat Colleen & I 2-0 at the Stadium tonight.
SirKT's opening break of 50 :o set the standard for a very scrappy first game with Lady H's 2k break giving them the win.
I was off early in the second game and KT's next visit was decisive.
Well played, good luck in the next round. ;)
Many thanks to Gary for scoring the 2nd game..... ;) ..... although you would have had less work to do in the first!! ;D

Okey Dokey ;) Just wanted to make sure ;) Great work on the Sussex website Dave 8-) just one thing tho ::) This is a quote taken from the rules of the Doubles Matches '' Doubles Competitions – in all matches 0.5 points awarded for a leg win, 0.5 point awarded for the aggregate win, therefore 1.5 points awarded in total for each match. In addition ranking points will be awarded as follows''Does this mean it is to be played over Two Legs? Like i said before great work on website ;)

In addition ranking points will be awarded as follows''Does this mean it is to be played over Two Legs? Like i said before great work on website ;) Thanks Kev, glad to have been able to finally get it updated. ;) With regards to the Mixed Doubles, I am assuming that this will be played as "Best of 3 legs" as it has in previous seasons and that aggregate score (as in the Mens & Ladies Doubles) will not count. Therefore, I believe that any Ranking Points would be allocated as follows:- 0.5 points to each partner for each leg won. 0.5 points to each partner for winning the match. Plus usual Score Bonuses. Therefore if one pair win their game 2-0, each player would receive 1.5 Ranking Points plus Score Bonuses, while their opponents would receive no points, except possibly Score Bonuses. Should the result be 2-1, the winning pair would again receive 1.5 RP's each, with the losers getting 0.5 RP's each. Hope that makes sense..... clear as mud now isn't it! 8-) ;D

Has the Roffey Club moved to Ditchling then......? :o ;) No it hasn't ;D ;D We live about 3 minutes away from each other in Brighton, and I was playing Derek There at 12. So they decided rather than driving to Roffey they would play Sandra and I there instead.

After we had a lovely lunch in the pub and was able to enjoy at least some of the bank holiday.

Bad news having to work that much over Easter...... hope Alan's getting double time pay! ::) The White Horse is a nice pub, we are hoping to use it is a venue for our Lewes League Team next year. The landlord there is very supportive of Bar Billiards and, once the building work has been completed and the table correctly positioned and levelled it will be a good home for us. 8-)

Bill Kerr Helen Brewster beat Charlie Cooper and Gina Sherratt last evening at the Locomotive. Tony, do you know if it was 2-0 or 2-1 to Bill & Helen......? ??? Since Ranking Points (and Score Bonuses) are given in this competition, it would also be helpful to know roughly what the scores were to enable me to work out the RP's..... 8-)
