Thanks Keith
Yes you are still behind Steven by just 2 pts, but the good news for you is that you have both moved in front of Phil Collins.
However, the bad news for you Keith is that after Sussex you are set to drop 22.5 points (for points earned winning Sussex 06 and Eng v Gue 06) and Steven just drops 0.1, Phil Collins just 0.3. So you need good one in Sussex to stay in touch with them!
The ladies has a great battle for number 1. Just 0.1 between Pauline and Jean. Unfortunately no Pauline in Sussex so Jean needs to pick up 0.2 to become number 1 for the first time. Pauline has been number 1 since 2002 and it is a shame she won't be at Sussex to defend her position but lets hope she will be fighting fit to give Jean a fight for the rest of the year.

Cheers Nigel, quote "drop 22.5 points" you certainly know how to cheer someone up, don't you. I will have to change my prediction from Phil Collins to myself then. Sussex 06 must be the last time I won an open, isn't it? :( ah well, perhaps it's my turn again, but I will probably have to beat all the England Team players to do it. :-/ 8-) May I also echo your final sentence about Pauline.

Ha sorry Keith, but at least you know what you have got to do to keep your position ;).
Maybe I should cheer KT up also as he has a lot of points to defend in 2006 as after you won the Sussex 06, he went on to win the remaining 6 titles that year :o.

Please can we have the Open & Ladies Ranking points system updated to the new one on the Rules site, as it's still got the old one on it.
Cheers,
Keith.

It is noted that the Roll of Honour has been brought up-to-date for winners of Opens and for the World Championships. Excellent work, a big thank you to whoever is responsible. 8-)
I agree with Keith though, that the "Rules for Rankings" has to be amended to what is current - for the obvious reason that people looking at them for the first time won't understand the basis for them.
Finally, the History of the Internationals and of the County Championships has a year or two to go on - which would then be the icing on the cake ! 8-)

Great work as per usual from the hard-working Nigel.
Just one possible point to rectify for the future........Mick Daw: you have him down for Oxon, but I think he's one of ours (Sussex) - the rare commodity of a Hastings player. ;)

Nigel
I have been looking on the aebba website and have noticed that the UNDER 22s all time winners list does not include STEVEN ALDER who beat STEVEN SHEARD in the final in 2001
I don't know any of the scores, I just know the result

what other under 22s competition was played at the post office club? Also i may have the wrong year, Steve was born sept 1979 and was 21 when he beat steve sheard so it could be 2000 and not 2001. I wonder if Keith remembers?. Steve said he won £25 as winner.

Not sure what this competition was exactly but I am guessing it was inter area. not the national one

Dave, I think Nigel's found the answer, as Steven or myself cannot remember him losing to your son Steve. If it's the Andrew Wilson that I know he played in the Eynsham league in Oxfordshire.

I noticed earlier on today that the ranking rules are still the old ones, any chance of them being updated for anyone who wants to know what points you get for what?

Can the 2009 Men's & 2008 & 2009 Ladies Internationals results be put on the Website please.
I had to find the results from the Tournament thread.

Keith
PS I hope we have sorted a nice hotel out for the next England v Jersey match and NOT the Skylane Hotel. ???
Then they may send their best team across to play us this time. :P ::)
