Wellie B 3 - 2 Wellie A
No scores again this week but:
Nic 4kish beat Hayden*. H had Nick worried for a while until he played one of my shots and took out the black. 1-0
Me* 4kish beat Issy. Issy had very little luck with the pegs. 2-0
Garry lost to Brad*. A close one this. Garry was behind for most of the game but only by 500 or so and had chances to take the game. 2-1
Tim* beat Brian. Tim's winning ways continued with him scoring 5500+. 3-1
Gus lost to Dave*. Dave missed his opening shot and Gus built a solid 1500 break, which he lost by missing a ball behind the right hand 30. From that point, Dave took the bull by the horns and took a 1k lead which kept for most of remaining time. 3-2
A good night with the usual Pizza to follow. Kim has said that she will do some different food for tonight.

Good fun night at the Schooner with plenty of laughs throughout. Would have stayed longer but had to be up for 5am as early start.

Bit late but the result from the Dyke A v Brewery Tap A match was 3-2 to the home side which practically hands the title to the Horseshoes
Chris Tupper 1,290 - 9,690 Chris Reeves Dave Reeves 7,740* - 0 Richard Wooton Colin Smith 10,000 - 0* Gareth Lloyd Mick Winder 8,500* - 0 Nigel Senior Kevin Simmons 2,730 - 9,290* Marc Chipman
Game 1 - Chris went on with 7k, giving Tupps one chance. He failed to ge tthe balls back - Reevsey did.
Game 2 - Dave Reeves only made 2k, but got the balls back and made a 7.5k lead. Richard got the balls back and despite making the fastest 5k in history (his words not mine) did not have enough time to win. 1-1
Game 3 - Lloydy of early and Colin makes 9k break to take a crucial leg against break. 2-1
Game 4 - We have been hanging on a bit in a few games and once again we were up against it. I got my chance early on after Mick missed on 2k. A missed 50-20 split cost me though and Mick made a winning break (despite a dodgy 100-30 split which rimmed the 100 when already safe if the score was kept) 3-1
Game 5 - Marc's best game of the season scoring 9k against Kev Simmons but can't change the result 3-1
The Tap/Romans now entertain the Horseshoes at home on Monday, where they must win to keep their slim hopes alive.
