Congrats to Bill & Helen on winning the title last night. The Montreal table played very fast, splitable yes, but it certainly played to Bill`s strengths with potting and 50/100s.
First game saw Bill open with 9,900 in 14 mins. Second saw me reply with 9,600 in 12 mins. The decider saw Helen off early, Lady H made 2k+. Neither Bill or I got them back on our first visit, but Bill made sure on his next go with a 5k break.
Lots of chances in the other semi between Kev/Sandra & Jim/Lorraine. First game saw Lorraine make a nice 5k break. In the second, Kev was going well only to whip out on a split losing his 4k opener. Jim eventually made a winning 6k break.
In the final, Bill/Helen had a 5k lead and Jim looked on course to catch it, only to miss about 700 short. Second game saw Jim off early and Bill made two breaks to win the title.
Thanks to the Montreal for putting on food (quite a bit as well).
Well done to Dave in the Captains cup.
