Now has a table!! ;D
The Riley from The exotic sausages at the woolpack (calm down Warrior!! ;) and ex of the stadium is now ensconsed and is in a lovely position as a venue!
The lights and scoreboard will be up in a couple of days
If you pop in there please introduce yourself to Mike and Sue. Mike is hoping to learn the game.
I will say that setting it up tonight at least three people enthused about the "old" game with detailed and accurate exchanges of banter. Think it could be a busy table!! ;D

Great news... KT and myself went into the pub and introduced ourselves a few weeks back and KT advised them where in the pub to put it. Hopefully a team will emerge soon.

That's great news..... if it plays as well in it's new home as it did at the Woolpack I predict that there will be a lot of very big scores made there! 8-) ;D
We look forward to visiting the Balltree (which used to be my local) very soon...... ;D ;D

Where is the Ball tree? Is it in the Worthing vicinity seeing as it is posted on the Worthing league board? I ask purely because BB Warrior's enthusiasm about the table makes me very interested to have a knock on it...

It is up on the "stage" area as advised but at the wider end and not by the door, felt this will give a really good environment to the matches with a 4 seat table next to the Riley and plenty of space around it. The player is also protected from interference by the window wall.
A lot of commitment and support from Mike and Sue so lets hope it will take off!

Think it counts as Sompting Off the A27 down the side of a van dealers......you know where the traffic lights in the dip are!! At the crossroads where a really big pub that I thinks closed down is the opposite turn off the A27............Got it ????? :o ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Brilliant News, Another Sompting/Lancing table, just down the road from me. Hopefully will have a chance to pop in with the rest of the Schooner 'B' and try it out.

Colleen, Dave, RC and yours truely had an evening at the Ball Tree yesterday. The landlord and landlady were very pleased to see us, the landlord very interested in getting to know how to play the game. The table is in the saloon bar in an area of its own, giving playing space and plenty of watching facilities.
The table as said previously is a Riley, and plays very well ( ask Colleen who promptly gave me a good kicking, twice). There is definitely some loocal interest, but can say if anyone looking for a venue for next season, well worth popping along to have a butchers.
Can only be good for the future of the game to have new venues, keen hosts and a little bit of support from players can go a long way.

;D ;D 8-)
I only lost one singles game on it (a few doubles tho !), the other two I lost were away games !
It still plays level and true as always - which helps !
A great evening, looking forward to the next one xx
