Nigel,
Surrey's representatives will be Gary Powell and Sally Mortimer, but I trust they will be receiving an invite though the official channels. ;)

I believe Portsmouths Representatives are Mens IKO Chris Newson, Ladies IKO is Chris Toner, and National Team is Lord Chichester 'B'.

Nigel,
Still ever hopeful that Cambridgeshire might play a part in Division three this year. Will keep you updated. As far as I know Phil Buckle will be our singles entry but no Lady I'm afraid.
I have started gathering names for the county but as we know saying yes now doesn't always mean they will turn up. As far as Div. three is concerned have you got a cut-off date I can work to??
Team Championship reps are Six Mile Bottom but they have yet to confirm with me - will let you know.
Thanks,
Keith

Hi Nigel,
Just to let you know Ernie won our Mens Singles in Bucks and will be there on the 4th Oct. He is also trying to get a team together for the mens for Div 3, which we are 99% sure he will get. Unfortunately, it doesn't look the same for the ladies - I will let you know for definite in the next few days. Our ladies winner was Marilyn Issard, and she will be there on the 18th October.
Dawn.

Damian Coates is sorting the county 7, can't answer for the individual winner, can 99.99% say no lady will be present.

Nigel,
had committe meeting this week and we are still in business, just. Can confirm Phil Buckle for the singles on the 4th, and I have Six Mile Bottom Sports and Social Club for the Team event on the 25th. As of today I still have seven committed players for Div three on the 18th so keep your fingers crossed.
Keith (facing many sleepless nights in Cambridge)

Nigel, When will you be deciding if Division three goes ahead?? Keith Hi Keith, the only way it will be cancelled will be if there is only 1 team to play. We will make a day of it if there are 2 teams like we had last year. We have Berks B definite, Bucks, Cambs, Surrey B are hopefuls. So as long as one of those hopefuls is a yes than we are go for the 18th. Lets hope all the hopfuls go as it will make a far better competition.

Congratulations to Oxon A who once again are the winners of the County Championship, Div 1. A 7-0 defeat of Hants was followed by a 4-3 over second-placed Berks A, and a further 7-0 victory over Sussex B who will play in Div 2 next year. Three points against Sussex A (who finished third) was sufficient to clinch the title.
1 - Oxon A (21pts); 2 - Berks A (19pts); 3 - Sussex A (17pts); 4 - Hants (8pts); 5 - Sussex B 5pts.
In Division 2, a very strong Kent A side went through the card with wins over Kent B (5-2); Oxon B (4-3); Northants (5-2) and Surrey A (4-3). Pete Sainsbury and Gerry Fitzjohn clinched an exiting finale with the last two wins needed over Surrey A.
1 - Kent A (18pts); 2 - Surrey A (15pts); Oxon B (14pts); Northants (12pts); Kent B (11pts).

Once again, commonsense is allowed to prevail. ;) Must add that Berks A did well, fielding their strongest team for years, and turned it into a three-horse race. The event ran smoothly without incident, so well done once again to the organisers.
